Tiny Forest Getaway

For our first tiny home experience, we expected a nice and relaxing off the grid stay. Little did we know, we also discovered some of our now favourite beaches in NSW.

Just a short drive off the main road, we found this cute tiny home on a small green patch surrounded by wilderness.

Upon our arrival, we immediately connected with the place. The big windows looking out into the forest, the beautiful plants inside the house and the thoughtful touches really made it feel in harmony with its surroundings. It was great to sit by the fire outside in the evening, to slow down and enjoy our time out of town: no internet, no phone reception, no distractions.

Perhaps the best part of the house was the outdoor bath. We loved bathing under stars while listening to the sounds of nature around us.

Overall, staying at Soul Wood was a truly relaxing and luxurious experience. Besides, we loved that we were just a short drive away from Murramarang National Park and some stunning beaches, where we went for an afternoon swim and a nice rainforest hike.

Afternoon swim at Pebbly Beach
Try to get there before sunset when kangaroos are jumping around the beach and the last sunrays are creating a mesmirising glow through the trees....
Rainforest walk near Depot Beach
This is the best way of getting to the beach. A little track through the rainforest with a chance to spot a lyrebird. It's a short but lovely walk that leads you to a stunning beach....
Caffeine fix at The Heritage Bakery
First things first! The Heritage Bakery, located in one of the oldest historical buildings of the region, is a great place to get your caffeine fix and get some freshly baked goodies....
