What a (Mount) Beauty!

The Victorian high country; boasting Victoria’s highest mountains, verdant national parks, crystal-clear rivers and autumnal tree-lined roads, this place was the breath of fresh air we needed after the recent travel restrictions.

Four hours from Melbourne, Spring Spur is a 100-acre working horse farm nestled in the stunning Kiewa Valley. We arrived at night, which made waking up the next morning a special sight for sore eyes, as we were greeted with the idyllic views of Mount Feathertop.

After going so long without traveling, the warm and inviting main lounge (featuring a library and an awesome record collection we played our way through) provided a welcomed opportunity to connect with other like-minded travellers. Our host Lin was an unreal cook, making meals at the famed long table - a highlight after hours of adventuring. Between horseriding, hiking, swimming, eating and drinking, Spring Spur provided the perfect invigorating yet relaxing weekend we were desperately seeking.
