A Journey Through Time at the Storekeepers House

It's not every day you step into a place that makes you feel like you just got back in time. The Storekeepers House in Tatura really does this with its rich history. The owners have perfectly curated every little detail to fit together and take you back to times before you were even born.

It’s a lovely bright space with high ceilings, a large kitchen and a living room that opens up to the garden. There are 3 bedrooms and each room tells a different story with antique furniture, time-worn books and vintage paintings.

The town itself has a few stories of its own, there is a cute boutique museum just across the street and the silos further down the road are also painted with stories from the past. We especially loved the little sunset stroll through Cussen Park and were impressed by the number of singing birds.

Staying true to our historic journey, we drove about 40 minutes to the Tahbilk Winery which was established in 1860 and is still family-owned until this day. Make sure to pick up a bottle and perhaps have a sunset sip overlooking the Waranga Basin just a minute's drive from Tatura.
