Discover the Big Hole in Deua National Park

Located in Deua National park, which is around 40 minutes away from Braidwood, The Big Hole track is a short and fairly easy yet rewarding walk leading to an impressive 100 metre deep and 50-metre wide chasm. Starting at Berlang campground, we had to take our shoes off to cross the Shoalhaven river to continue on the track, which made for a refreshing stop on a hot day. Unfortunately, we didn’t bring our swimmers, but it would have been perfect for a swimming break. The track then continues through a gum forest and heathland, before reaching the platform looking out into the sinkhole. Once we got back, we had a picnic at the camping area and took the long way home via Araluen Road, which we would also recommend....
