Channon Craft Markets

The historic and legendary Channon Craft Market, established in 1976, is held on the second Sunday of the month and is a staple of the Hinterland to be experienced. Some of the vendors such as Steve Sawkin who sells quality ceramics have been there for over 25 years. Mona and I perused colorful Nimbin candles, woven baskets, vintage dresses, eclectic hats and everything in between. We grabbed a breakfast samosa from John and were greeted with smiles and jokes, making us feel right at home. By late morning they had set up the chai tent, which consisted of an open air array of colorful blankets and pillows in the oval. We enjoyed our warm drinks in the warm autumn sun which was a perfect way to conclude this chapter of our morning adventure.
