Sol Duc Falls
Hike in Olympic Hot Springs, WA
Sol Duc Falls is probably my favorite waterfall in Washington. It's a 1.5-mile roundtrip with only 200 feet of elevation gain, making it really accessible for just about anyone. The trail does continue on further past the falls, so if you are looking for something a little longer, keep an eye out for the signs that will let you know where you are headed.
Keep in mind that the Olympics are considered to be a temperate rainforest, so the chances of getting wet and muddy are pretty high most of the year. Don't let that scare you away though, as a nice, light rainfall really adds to the experience of exploring these forests. Just make sure you have some nice waterproof boots, a rain jacket and the optional umbrella and you'll be set!
