Hoping for a clear, picturesque view across the Alpine region instead as we arrived at the lookout at Mount Buffalo were met with clouds, which turned to rain, which eventually turned into an onslaught of hail. Thankfully we got to wait the storm out, nice and dry, in a Parks Victoria Hut perched just next to the cliffs.
Despite not seeing that clear view we hoped for, the way the low clouds hugged and undulated over the mountains below was mesmerizing. I would recommend giving this lookout a shot, even if there is cloud cover - you might be surprised.
