Orewa Beach Lookout

Just over the hill from Waiwera, you'll find a lookout before you descend into Orewa. On a good day, it affords incredible views over Orewa Beach and beyond - and when the swell is up it is a mesmerising spot to watch as the waves roll relentlessly into the shore, and surfers try their luck. Although on a flat day like the day I visited, it was equally cool to look down into the clear waters directly below and try to spot some fish!
