Tree Hut Cottage is a traditional handcrafted Canadian style log cabin. Relax on the deck with breakfast in the morning sun.

Chill out in the evening on the deck, while watching the sun go down over the majestic Tararua Mountains and Wairarapa Valley.

We have for your enjoyment plenty of LPs, a cosy log fire and plenty of DVDs for all ages.

We are a short drive to Masterton and just down the road from Gladstone, which offers some of the regions top wineries and eating venues.

Tree Hut Cottage’s open interior offers a King size bed on the mezzanine floor with fantastic views as you wake up in the morning.

Downstairs there is a kitchen/dining/living area, shower etc., a sofa bed and a camp bed. A portacot and high chair are available on request.

You are welcome to walk around the property but please respect our privacy and property as we would respect yours.

The is good cellphone reception but NO WIFI is available.

PLEASE NOTE STAIRS TO MEZZANINE BEDROOM ARE STEEP.

Could not have asked for a more lovely set up or experience. The hosts were incredibly helpful in the “welcome home-cooked muffins” was such a treat. It was a beautiful drive from Wellington capped of...f by the delightful stay itself. We were chasing a wintry Christmas in June to capitalize on the cold weather, but we’re delighted by nothing but sunshine the whole weekend.
Responsive, friendly, and helpful hosts. Entirely recommend.
Surprised and delighted by the DVD selection they had which made it all the more nostalgic. AND the record player and selection there.

Plenty of gorgeous birdsong and quails running around. Everything you’d need in the kitchen toolkit for cozy home-cooked meals.

We had an absolutely wonderful weekend in this cottage. Everything was perfect from start to finish, and we already can't wait to come back.

The cottage is beautifully designed, comfortable, and incr...edibly cozy. The fireplace created such a warm and relaxing atmosphere, and the record player was a lovely touch that made our stay even more special. Together, they gave the place a unique charm that made us feel right at home.

The location was also fantastic. We had the chance to hike the Pinnacles Track, which was absolutely breathtaking, and we also visited Cape Palliser, less than an hour and a half away. Seeing so many baby fur seals in their natural habitat was an unforgettable experience and definitely one of the highlights of our trip.

We truly enjoyed every moment of our stay and appreciated all the thoughtful details. A perfect getaway that we would highly recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful and memorable retreat.

Thank you for such an amazing experience – we hope to be back very soon!
