We arrived at the barn just before sunset, greeted by sweeping views of rolling farmland that immediately set a peaceful tone for our escape. Inside, the rustic charm was instant—a cool kitchen, a cozy lounge with a big couch, and a fire ready to be lit. That evening, we settled in, warmed by the fire, Netflix, and the luxury of total relaxation. Saski, our dog, quickly made herself at home, curling up by the fire and clearly loving the space as much as we did.
Our mornings began with breakfast in the barn before heading out to explore. A sunrise dive at Toro Bay was a highlight, followed by scenic drives along the rugged coastline. We also visited Castlepoint at dawn, ventured to Cape Palliser for a windswept coastal adventure, and hiked through the incredible Putangirua Pinnacles. Evenings were slow and grounding—cooking dinner together, gazing out over the pool, and soaking in the serenity while Saski snoozed happily nearby.
By the end, we felt refreshed and inspired—the perfect mix of rustic comfort, nature-filled adventure, and the joy of sharing it all with Saski.
