A tranquil Adults only escape only 45 mins drive from Sydney.

The Deckhouse is a contemporary two-story boathouse/Cottage right by the water of Cowan Creek. It's tucked away in the beautiful Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park. With a Northwest orientation, you can enjoy stunning views of both the sunrise and sunset.

Upper level
The panoramic views of the river and beyond greet you as you enter the open-plan entry level. It's beautifully decorated with a compact but fully equipped kitchen, a living area, a bedroom, and a spacious ensuite bathroom. This self contained living space is flooded with natural light, thanks to the floor-to-ceiling doors that open onto the balcony. It's the ideal spot to lay on the daybed, unwind and watch the boats go by.

The outdoor stairs lead you down to the lower level, where you can step right onto the deck and pontoon. You can launch the kayaks, fish, soak up the sun, or fire up the BBQ for a meal under the stars.

Additional open plan studio accommodation is also available on this lower level, comprising of an ensuite bathroom and kitchenette.
Just step out of bed, open the bifold doors, and take in the views.

When you choose to stay at The Deckhouse, Cottage Point the property is soley for your use. We do not rent out the accommodation areas seperately. The additional lower level studio accommodation is available for bookings of more than two adults for an additional fee.The upper floor accommodation and the entire outside area is available for up to two adults sharing one bedroom. Should you wish the book the property for two guests using both bedrooms please advise and we will adjust the price accordingly.

Kayak, fish or just relax and enjoy the water, the magnificent sunsets and serenity of Cottage Point.
Two kayaks and two fishing rods available for guest use. Boat hire is available across the road at the Cottage Point Kiosk and fine dinning is available at The Cottage Point Inn.

The Deckhouse uses rain water, we have a kitchen filtering system installed and reverse cycle air conditioning on both levels of the property. Washing machine is also available.

NO FREE TO AIR TV, Netflix, Prime ( sign in to your own account) and Foxtel available. Main living area 40" HD, upper level Bedroom 32"HD smart TV

Please note that the lower deck, jetty and pontoon are not fenced and access between each of the property levels, is via outdoor stairs only. Not suitable for children. Guests wishing to bring infants are welcome. However, we request that we are notified prior to arrival. Infants must be pre-crawling age.

IMPORTANT
Access from the carport is via inclinator ( outdoor lift) only. There is no alternative. The inclinator takes only a couple of minutes from the carport to the property ( a favourite experience for many guests)

No smoking, no candles, no naked flames of any sort. We have an excellent BBQ
Please do not bring your own outdoor cooking device. No coal cookers, kerosene/metho or smokers please

Maximum of two guests unless you have requested the additional accommodation on the lower floor then the maximum of guests is four.
