Riverfront Haven above the Hawkesbury River

Perched unsuspectedly atop a quiet hill, River Point Cottage is a completely private escape. Just a one minute walk from the cottage is your very own pool and spa retreat - surrounded by tropical flowers, swaying palms, and untouched bushland, with breathtaking, uninterrupted views of the Hawkesbury River.

Mornings began with coffee on the cosy sunlit couch, then lounging by the turquoise, sparkling pool, snacking on fresh fruit in total privacy. At sunset, we sank into the huge, luxurious spa, bubbles warming us as golden light spilled across the winding river and rolling hills. A few steps down, a massive cliffside fire pit overlooks the river, though unused due to the summer fire ban, it still felt like the edge of the world, with only us, the river and the endless sky. Time slowed, worries melted away and we left completely rejuvenated.

The area surrounding Lower Portland is full of bushland walks, lookouts, farms with local produce, wineries, rolling green hills, and campsites - all conveniently close.
