Rose Cottage is a stand-alone architecturally designed new build on our Karaka farm. We are close to Auckland CBD and yet far enough away to smell the country air and see the stars at night. The bespoke design invokes a feeling of luxurious calm and tranquility. You will be in a modern unique cottage within your own private garden. Rest and recharge in nature. Guests frequently feedback to us that they love star gazing from the outdoor bath, walking through the native bush and saying hello to the various farm animals. We are close to amazing local attractions, cafes and restaurants. Escape to the country!

BEDROOM Superking bed with 100% cotton linen supplied. There is a desk for remote working and the bedroom has a peaceful aspect overlooking the orchard. Large wardrobe and drawer space allows you to store your bags and belongings out of sight.

BATHROOM Italian tiles throughout, heated floor, modern fittings, rain head shower. Plenty of white fluffy towels are supplied.

LIVING ROOM French doors open the front of the cottage up so you can be immersed in your own private garden. Modern industrial bespoke furniture is juxtaposed with the colour and vibrancy of the cottage garden.

KITCHENETTE The well equipped kitchenette has everything you need to prepare your meals: induction hobb, microwave, sandwich press, rice cooker, pots/pans and a French press with freshly ground locally roasted coffee supplied plus a Nespresso machine and pods.

BREAKFAST A continental breakfast is supplied for your first morning and always contains fresh artisan sourdough bread created within the property.

PATIO The covered patio allows you to enjoy the garden and BBQ no matter what the weather is doing. Outdoor furniture is perfect to enjoy your meals while being enveloped in the garden. Four people can be seated comfortably and the bench seating is another place to lie and gaze at the night sky away from the city.

OUTDOOR BATH The bath is snuggled in to a private area off the patio. Guests report that star gazing at night away from the city lights is a highlight. A fragrant bath-bomb is supplied for your enjoyment.

DINING The dining table is another one-off creation celebrating up-cycling. Chairs for two and extra stools allow 4 to dine at the table.

EXTRA BEDDING A queen bed is hidden in the living room and tilts effortlessly out from the wall.

Rose cottage was such a lovely getaway! The cottage itself is clean, cosy and warm. It has all the amenities you need, plus an outdoor bath! Check in was easy as well - would definitely recommend for a quiet weekend away ☺️

Was a beautiful little get away with our family, lovely nature walk and the cutest ponies. The cottage was super clean and elegant, very child friendly too. Oh, but the bath under the stars, was a dream! We will definitely be returning.

The property was surrounded by beautiful gardens and a variety of farm animals including inquisitive ponies we were able to hand feed! There is also the option to plant a native tree in memory of your stay.
