Imagine a sanctuary where ocean and hinterland views stretch beyond the horizon, inviting you to slow time and reconnect with what matters most. Our retreat offers a blend of tranquility, art, and natural beauty. It is a place for couples to deepen their bond or for families and friends to gather and create meaningful memories.

THE SPACE
Step into an open-plan home filled with warmth and character. Australian artworks bring inspiration and presence into the space. The generous bedroom and bathroom invite rest, intimacy and quiet mornings.
In the living room, a comfortable daybed provides additional sleeping space for peaceful nights. An open fireplace in the lounge and a fire pit outside invite you to sit together, watch the light fade over the hills and simply be. A complimentary starter pack of wood is provided to welcome you into your stay.
For rejuvenation and movement, a gym and yoga or meditation space is available. It includes basic weights, rings and yoga mats for grounding or energising practices surrounded by nature.
Please note: There are two separate dwellings on the property. They are close to each other as the property was originally an artist’s residence and working studio, though your space is private and exclusively yours during your stay.
Due to the steep drops in the garden areas, our sanctuary is not suitable for young children.

Perched high on the ridge of The Pocket, the retreat offers easy access to the surrounding villages and beaches of the Northern Rivers.
Billinudgel — 8 minutes: local pub, general store, and Indian restaurant
Brunswick Heads — 15 minutes: river swims, paddle boarding, ocean beaches, and one of Australia’s most loved pubs
Mullumbimby — 15 minutes: farmers markets, cafés, and vibrant creative community
Byron Bay — 25 minutes: beaches, dining, markets, and coastal walks
Gold Coast Airport — 35 minutes: smooth and effortless arrival and departure

You will be given an access code for keyless entry.
Roberto the property owner lives onsite in a separate dwelling. He is there is you need him but also won't interrupt your peace and privacy.
The cutlery is in the hidden drawer where the bowls and plates are.

Other things to note
The property has a shed and a managers residence closeby.

Please don’t come into the shed as that’s a private personal space.
If you need anything, please contact me and I’ll be able to help you.

The plunge pool is attached to the managers residence (please ask if they’re ok to use it, it’s not heated) Also due to the steep drops in the garden area, our sanctuary is not suitable for young children.

We had a wonderful stay. The accommodation was lovely, with a tranquil setting and beautiful views. The fireplace was awesome and made for such a cozy atmosphere, while the deck was the perfect spot to relax and take it all in. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful getaway.

Such a beautiful location, hidden away from everything, you really feel remote! Beautifully designed and has everything you need, such a perfect place to escape the city and slow down.

This place is somewhere where I hope to be returning to again and again and again. The home and the land is so incredibly peaceful and secluded- you'll fell like you're a million miles away, and yet i...t is such a short drive to all of the surrounding cafes, grocery stores and anything else you need. However, the place is so well stocked, that if you simply bring some food, you won't need to leave at all! The architecture is stunning and the jaw dropping art and design top it off to be one of the most beautiful places I've stayed in.
Roberto is an incredible host, who goes above and beyond to make your stay incredibly special, he is such a lovely and kind man- it was a privilege to meet him.
I highly recommend using the bath at sunset, you will never have a bath that beats that view and peacefulness!

Craigie the kookaburra, and Little Nick the Goanna (who is actually rather big!) call this paradise home. Along with so much birdlife and a constant flow of butterflies enjoying the garden. You can hand feed Craigie, he comes right into the house!

Every Friday from 7 am - 11 am the Farmers Markets are held at the Mullumbimby Showgrounds rain, hail or shine.
An array of spicy aromas lead our noses through the village of food stalls and local art & crafts.
A fantastic way to experience the community spirit, the atmosphere is light and fun with local buskers setting the vibe.

Every Friday morning the markets come to life with fresh veggies, music, bread, oysters & so much more. Definitely worth waking up early to grab some supplies and fill your bellies to kickstart your weekend.
