Luxe Queen bed, high quality linen and a beautiful warm space- The Storyteller's Nook was created to provide a space for writers, artists and creatives to nurture their imagination and process.

Nestled in the hamlet of Panmure, Victoria, The Storyteller's Nook Great Ocean Road features a fully equipped Finnish style kitchen and art curated from around the world, you can unwind in front of the fire and select a book from the extensive library to curl up and read on the plush velvet couch.

Super fast Wifi and workspace for remote work. A large writer's desk and fast wifi, sprawling acre garden and tranquillity mean you are set to escape the world and inspire your inner creativity.

A retreat from the hustle and bustle; The Storyteller’s Nook has been lovingly created to nurture, inspire and relax.

Once Upon a Time

There was a writer who was looking for a place to finish her book in the hurly burly of a pandemic. She travelled the lands, yet nothing seemed to feel just right. The answer finally came; she must create one. A special place filled with inspiration from creatives past and present, a cosy corner where one could feel separate from the noise of worldy things. A special place where her inner child could explore and be filled with wonder. It would have all the right chapters and speciality items from her travels around the world.

If you feel like you have been removed from the normal, everyday hectic life that most of us have created for ourselves and have entered a new world free of those suburban reminders then stage one is complete! The next part is up to you; make yourself comfortable & relax.

Please note-
The Storyteller’s Nook is not suitable for children or pets due to the ornate nature of its furnishings.

We now have additional bedding available for 2 more guests. This will incur an additional $60 charge per person. The configuration:,2 x Single beds available by request. Please be aware that the Bedroom is private however the extra beds are located in the main living area of the church. We have introduced extra bedding in response to overwhelming requests by guests.

An intimate space, no parties are allowed and for the courtesy of our guests we ask to keep loud music down after 10pm.

In the unlikely event that any damage is made to the property or contents - costs to replace will be deducted from your security deposit.

There is not one negative of this beautiful Property!
We Spent the weekend we were there relaxing and lounging around the beautifully refurbished Church.
A short drive down to Warnambool and Childs Co...ve was on our weekend list and neither disappointed.
Definitely an amazing property to stay at for a short escape and a beautiful part of the world to visit!
10/10 would stay again! :)
