If you are looking for total peace surrounded by bird life, hopping wild creatures, occasional koala or platypus sighting, want to chill out in the healing waters of Little Nymboida river or experience a water massage at the waterfall, this place is for you. You will leave feeling totally healed.

Directions to cabin will be given after a booking is made.
NB:No reception for mobile phones at cabin. Reception available a few ks down the road. However, Telstra phones do get a few bars above cabin.. No Internet either at cabin. Available at house if required.
NB: There is an abundance of wildlife on the property, which includes sighting snakes occasionally although in winter they are in hibernation. Also other reptile species, goannas and lizards. They are usually harmless if you treat them respectfully, and take a stick with you when walking to hit the ground occasionally so you warn them of your approach. If you are afraid of snakes or other reptiles species, better not to book in. Also, in very rainy weather, the road in, last section through forest, can be rough in places for a 2 wheel low lying sedan. Check with Judy or Andrew as to the condition of the road.

Additional Information

ECO CABIN Details The cabin is suitable for a family with 2 children or a group of 4 people.
The propety is located one hour drive from Coffs Harbour and is at the end of a long road so you get to enjoy the quiet relaxation of seclusion and peace. The house is about a 5 minute walk from the cabin but you have complete privacy and access to the amazing waterfall and swimming hole.

The cabin is completely off-grid with an outdoor composting toilet and tank water pumped from pristine creek, solar power and even recycled bottles for the wall! It was originally built over 50 years ago by a European gentleman and is built mainly from hardwood logs found on the property. It is rustic, romantic and completely unique. It has a full kitchen and internal shower (as well as external cold one for hot summers days), full gas cook top, lounge area and mezzanine loft bedroom, a wood stove for cooking and heating in the cooler months.

There is one queen-size bed and 2 single beds upstairs in the loft area. So it's perfect for a couple or a small family of 1 or 2 children, one person or group of 4 people.

If you are looking for a weekend retreat or extended relaxation stay then we can cater to your needs. We have had writers, poets and meditators along with couples looking for a romantic weekend away or families wanting to get back to nature without having to give up electricity and other mod cons.

We even have an outdoor bath tub that you can light a fire underneath to heat up the water, lie back and watch the hundreds of thousands of stars overhead! (NB: half fill bath with water before lighting fire underneath).

If you don't have a car we can arrange for airport or train station pick up and transfer to the property for a small fee ($25), although it would need to fit into our schedule.

Bed linen provided. I provide towels.

Remedial massage and Naturopathic consults / health assessments available with experienced and qualified practitioners. Please let us know before you come if you want a massage or a consult, so we can arrange a time when we are available.

Relax around a pit fire in front of the cabin, or just sit and watch the wildlife as it unfolds in front of you. Have a hot bath in the tub and watch the stars with a glass of wine. Cycle around the tracks or along the road. Splash around the lake on the dingy. Swim at the amazing waterfall or float around on the raft.

Guests have access to the whole cabin, outdoor loo, tracks, waterfall, the river, lake, use of boat on lake, and can look around our garden stocked with herbs, edible plants, veggie garden and orchard. We can provide greens and vegetables, whatever is available plus fresh eggs from the chooks (if they are laying). You can have any of the greens or veggies available in the garden in front of cabin.
No phone reception at cabin but a few Ks back down the road you can use the phone. Internet reception only at our house and can be accessed if you need to use the internet.

Whereas we respect guests desire for privacy, we often invite people over for a coffee or drink on our balcony and we are happy to chat with guests as they wish. We are also happy to show them round our garden and share anything they have forgotten to bring or need. However, we are not always at the property so its subject to our availability.

Composting Toilet: Toilet is an outside composting drop loo. Use a little chaff and lime for No 2s, down the hatch. No 1 doesn't need any composting. It's okay to pee on the grass.
Directions: Its preferable to follow my directions available when you book, however, the GPS will work until at least half way down Camp Creek Road.

No Pets: No dogs or pets.

Solar Power: Care to be taken with power system - it is small (600 watt) with batteries and inverter, and not equipped to cope with long laptop use or multiple mobile phone charging or appliances with elements, which draw too much power.

Bath: half fill with water first before lighting fire underneath, otherwise it will cook the enamel and leave a big hole.

No smoking: inside or near the cabin vicinity. There is a table and chairs under a tree in front of cabin where you can smoke if you need to.

Let us know by phone or coming to house (if we are there) if anything breaks down or the power shortage etc. The fridge is a freezer converted to fridge by thermostat and if it freezes let us know. There is another small fridge but that is ONLY to be used in emergency if other one breaks down.

Lowanna, NSW
I love living in the beautiful region of Northern New South Wales with the amazing variety of natural wonders. Our property has native birds, wallabies, tree frogs and an amazing variety of other animals. We are also so lucky to have an amazing waterfall and swimming hole which is perfect for relaxing an afternoon away swimming or with a good book! My husband and I run a natural and holistic health clinic where we provide massages, counselling and Naturopathy services, which is now operating from the property. We also love to travel and explore the world. Naturopathic services and remedial/Relaxing massage is also available during your stay at the cabin but it is preferable if you book in before you come so you can be sure we are available. Just include request in your email. We also run 3 day health retreats, if you are interested in coming to one of these rejuvenation, lifestyle, or stress management retreats. You will find you are completely restored after attending one of these amazing retreats. We love to share our rainforest bush retreat surrounded by rivers with others and hope that guests can be rejuvenated and restored by being in this amazing healing environment. People can learn how simple life can be especially if you come from an urban area, and how little you need to live well and healthily.
