Ambient Stone Guest House Ebenezer

Set amongst The Australian Native bushland of a historic homestead in Ebenezer, our stone guest house is one of the Hawkesbury’s best kept secrets and only 1 hour drive from the Sydney CBD. With its beautiful stone façade, large gothic floor to ceiling doors and French farmhouse style interior, you would be mistaken in thinking you were staying in a French chalet.
With views down over the lagoon, you can listen to birdsong or relax by the fire with a wine and the luxury doesn't end there!

My partner and I stayed for two nights for a nice, quiet and peaceful getaway. We were very pleased with how accommodating and welcoming Sarah was throughout our stay. We went for a nice walk down to ...the water and sat in the sun for a while, which was very relaxing, and had a lovely dinner at the Tropicana Hotel, and breakfast at Tractor, which was suggested by Sarah and the family. Overall was a wonderful experience, a much needed getaway, and I strongly recommend staying here for a change of scenery and lovely nature sounds.
Thank you kindly Sarah. :)

There’s not much new I can add to the other 5 star reviews of this property.
The guest house is awesome just what we had hoped for on our celebratory birthday weekend.
Location is great, the lovely c...afe Tractor 828 is so convenient, a couple of minutes up the road, where you can sit and watch the lovely array of special cars and bikes dropping by.
Sarah the host is awesome, unobtrusive but always there to suggest and offer to throw another log on the fire to maintain the cosy ambience.
Another must is a romantic dinner at Cricca 15mins away in Windsor. The food was truely amazing, the staff were fun and attentive and was the nicest restaurant experience I have had in years.
We also throughly recommend a wine tasting visit to the 2 vineyards a very short drive away. The story and history behind Tizzana is amazing. Peter was so informative and knowledgeable, made it a special visit and experience for 2.
You simply can’t go wrong with choosing this awesome property and spot.

For more than 15 years, I’ve been styling homes with a passion for the unexpected. I love a creative challenge and have a knack for sourcing unique, exquisite pieces that give every room its own soul. My spaces are never ordinary — my signature style blends modern eclectic charm with a French farmhouse twist, and it continues to evolve with every project. My work has been featured in Australian Country Style Magazine, Country Home Magazine, and Blue Mountains Life Magazine, showcasing the character and craftsmanship that define my approach. Our Stone Guest Barn has also captured attention over the years, appearing in programs such as SBS’s Who Do You Think You Are, Tiny Homes Australia, MAFS, Flying Doctors, A Country Practice, and Sydney Weekender. It has also become a sought‑after location for beautiful photoshoots and unforgettable proposals, adding another layer of magic to the space. Welcoming guests is something we take to heart. We know how to create a memorable stay, and we look forward to hosting you soon.

Visit To Ebenezer Church

We took a scenic drive to Ebenezer Church, the oldest church in Australia. There is a cafe which serves sandwiches, cakes and scones but it was closed on the day we visited. We walked around the grounds read the plaques and peered through windows.

Visit To Australiana Pioneer Village

This place was definitely one we will take the kids back to. It's only open on Sundays and only $15 for the entire family (2 adults + 2 kids) it had far more to see than we could have got through in one afternoon. If you are in the area on a Sunday its a must-see with the kids, it's only a short drive for Sydney siders!

We took a quick bike ride to Skeleton reserve to watch the ferryboats come and go. Next time we plan to take the ferry across to Paradise Cafe for lunch.
