Situated below the spectacular mountain ranges of Gariwerd (Grampians) National Park, Little Bird is separated from the park only by a fire access track.

Our custom made off-grid tiny house was built with sustainability at the forefront of its design. Along with the planting of an additional 100 tree’s on the property, we utilise a blend of solar power and rain water to minimise our carbon footprint.

Home to Kangaroos, Wallabies, Emu, Cockatoos, Sugar Gliders, Blue Wren and many more, the land is an animal lover's paradise! Our sprawling 20 acre block is a true taste of the Victorian bush, housing majestic 50 year old gum trees, Tea trees and Golden Wattle.

We had the best time here! The treetop mornings in bed, the fireplace outside and the simple but well thought out tiny home was exactly what we needed for a couples get away. Thank you so much!

Little Bird is the passion project of five very dedicated friends who wanted to share their love for this place and being in nature. Home to Kangaroos, Wallabies, Emu, Cockatoos, Sugar Gliders, Blue Wren and many more, the land is an animal lovers paradise. We think we’ve created a space that will make our guests feel both relaxed and luxurious while they fully enjoy beauties of Gariwerd!

Wildlife Watching

You don't have to look too hard to spot kangaroos, emus, and lots of beautiful birds. You'll be able to see them all around Halls Gap so be extra careful when driving your car. We found a lot of kangaroos and emus chilling on the drive down to Lake Bellfield.

Pinnacle Walk

We walked to the Pinnacle and as we walked the clouds started to clear and we were greeted with some amazing light breaking through the clouds as we reached the Pinnacle.

Pinnacle Lookout

One of the best views in Victoria! There are different ways to get to the lookout but we chose the easiest/shortest. From Sundial Car park, follow the yellow arrows to find the right way up. Sometimes they are a little hard to see.
The hike is 2.1km long and the return trip takes roughly two hours to complete. This is a must-do, even if you are scared of heights!

Unwind, switch off and enjoy the many lakes in the region. Whether its floating on a lilo or tube in summer or rugging up for a lakeside picnic and meander in autumn or spring. There is a beautiful lake to suit every season and landscape. Explore Lake Fyans, Rocklands Reservoir, Lake Lonsdale, Lake Bellfield and Lake Wartook and soak up the natural beauty and peace.
