Energy of the Grampians

Greeted by wallabies and kangaroos grazing, chickens at our front door and the beautiful cottage looking out to the mountains, the Redgum Log Cottage creates a beautiful space where we could step back from the hectic pace of modern life and embrace nature! We went straight out to start exploring Venus Baths for a refreshing swim, bought a bottle of red from Fallen Giants winery just down the road, enjoyed a picnic watching the sunset over the mountains at Grand Canyon and settled in for the night by the fire in our cottage with our wine.

The next morning we checked the chicken roost for eggs and watched the sunrise over the mountains at the Balconies. We moved onto the Pinnacle walk and as we walked the clouds started to clear and we were greeted at the pinnacle with amazing light breaking through the clouds and some of the most spectacular views! We got a coffee fix at Harvest, a local café in Halls Gap, then continued on down the road from the cottage to Pomonal Estate to try their wine & Beer. The Pale Ale is my favourite! For sunset we headed back to the Redgum Log Cottage to explore the property, relax looking out over the mountains and stargaze. The skies were the clearest I have seen in years, anywhere, an experience I won’t forget. I can still feel the energy of the grampians days after leaving.
