Chris’s house is an absolutely beautiful country retreat from the city. The sunsets over the farm were absolutely stunning and views of the Otways were incredible. The house is well set up with lots o...f games, well stocked kitchen with everything you need to cook, amazing pizza oven and the pool was the best place to spend our days swimming and hanging out. We absolutely loved it and plan to book it as an annual trip. Chris was a great host, very responsive and accomodating.

Great farmhouse for our big family. Plenty of room for everyone - cosy and warm with the wood fire. The in ground trampoline was a great hit with the kids.
The views from the house were spectacular and we enjoyed some walks on the property.

Chris was super accommodating for our low budget film The Happy Place. Not only was the house perfect for our story, but was luxury for our cast and crew who got to stay overnight as we tackled long n...ight scenes into the early morning. The morning sunrises and sunsets with views of the hills and wildlife made it an absolute treat. We all mentioned on the set that we should just come back for a holiday as it was so serene. Thanks again to Chris for making it an amazing experience for our cast and crew.

Hiking The Trails Around The Farmhouse
We hiked down to the spring dam below the farmhouse and passed by the Californian Redeem plantation and the cute cows wandering the paddocks.

Fresh Organic Produce At Foothills Organic
We stopped off at Foothills Organic, a honesty stall on the side of the road with the freshest produce to cook back at the Farmhouse. We cooked a delicious roast with yummy veggies!
Lunch At Prickly Moses Brewing
Enjoying the sunshine, good company, delicious food and beers, Prickly Moses was the perfect place with lots of space and a beautiful setting.
Otway Artisan Gluten Free Bakery
Birregurra is a tiny little town packed with hidden gems. It's only a 15-minute drive from the property and home to one of the best gluten-free bakeries in Victoria. We picked up a couple of super tasty, fresh-baked chicken pesto paninis, coffees and a few supplies to test drive the local Penny Royal Berry Farm Jam we picked up on the drive down.
Off The Track For Golden Hour
Just a short drive from the Wrens Nest Cottage we discovered a beautiful open plane where we could watch the sunset between the clouds. A group of kangaroos were grazing as we rocked up and let us check them out for a while, making it even more special. Exploring the farmland around Forrest was a nice way to switch off and get to know the landscape.
Mountain Bike Trails
Forrest is considered to be one of the most impressive mountain bike trail networks in Australia. Ride a vast network ranging from family singletrack to technical black diamond rated trails, and everything in between. It’s approximately 20 minutes up the road!
