We had an absolutely amazing time here. The perfect winter getaway, private, quiet, beautifully furnished, very well equipped, convenient location and gorgeous surrounds. Lunch at du fermier in town, paired with cheese platters and wine in front of the fire - we had the best time. Thank you!!

Absolutely beautiful! We had a wonderful time at the French House over a long weekend. The house is extremely comfortable and relaxing. We enjoyed the gorgeous backyard and scenery.

We had such a fantastic and relaxing stay at The French House. Both the kids and adults loved playing tennis next to the beautifully manicured gardens and vineyard every morning and evening. We enjoye...d a few bike rides from the house to see the local kangaroos as well as riding into the town to visit the Red Beard Bakery and Cosmopolitan Hotel. We loved the style of the decor inside the house, especially in the main kitchen and living space. We enjoyed how each set of bedrooms had it's own wing which felt very private when using 3 or 4 bedrooms. Sitting outside in the courtyard area under the vines was a delight. We would love to return to this beautiful property again soon.

Trentham is a little town enclosed by forest and nature. It has really good spots to enjoy brunch or dinner – don't miss the chai at Trentham General, the sausage rolls at Redbeard, or the pizza at The Cosmo!
Dinner At Trentham General
Trentham General has a locals' night and is open for dinner every Thursday. We recommend calling prior to book your spot. We had a romantic dinner for two by the fire, with the chicken liver parfait with red onion jam as an entree, and the apple rhubarb and coconut crumble for dessert – both were divine.
Trentham Farmers Market
If you are lucky enough to be in Trentham when the farmers market is in town, make sure you stop by, perhaps on the way to Trentham Waterfalls. Fresh produce and local delights at every stall.
Ruby Goose Foods
Located in the heart of Trentham in one of the iconic historic shopfronts lining the main street, this local produce store gave us a solid dose of nostalgia with its country charm and nod to the past back when food was grown naturally, sourced locally and sold fresh.
Wood Fire Pizzas And Vino
Great night out – we loved the pizza and the parma! The wine list is pretty good and there are a lot of fireplaces, which makes the venue really cozy.
