Nestled in the widest canyon in the world, Capertee Valley, Wildnest Farmstay offers peace and tranquility in a setting that feels miles away but is just a short three hour drive from Sydney via the Blue Mountains. Time is marked by the shifts in colours across the escarpment revealing the natural beauty of your surroundings. This view is best enjoyed at sunset by the fire before the evening takes hold and gives you the chance to truly appreciate the starry night sky.
Stay in one of 2 spacious Glamping Tents on our family farm in Capertee Valley. The tents share the same paddock and are a short stroll between one another. The position and aspect of each tent is designed to give privacy and all have 180 degree views of the escarpment. This is our five star way of enjoying the beauty of Capertee Valley that we have come to know and love.

YOUR HOME AWAY FROM HOME
Our tents all have lush appointments like King Beds, quality linen, large ensuites, kitchenettes, ceiling fans, slow combustion fire and an outdoor fire pit. The tents sleep a maximum of 2 people in a King sized bed; there are no twin bed options.
The custom built kitchenette has a gas stove top, fridge, and sink. To conserve electricity, we have included a stove top kettle for making cups of tea and french press coffee. You will find a selection of teas from The Tea Centre, and ground coffee beans from our charity Hands Across the Water are in the fridge for you to use as you wish.
You won't be short on pans, kitchen utensils, and crockery during your stay - the kitchenette may be on the small side but it has everything you could possibly need.
Outside there is an Everdure by Heston Blumenthal FORCE 2 Burner BBQ for you to cook in your natural surroundings.
The spacious ensuite is complete with shower, large vanity and toilet. We have partnered with Blue Mountains wellness brand IKOU to bring you some of the most luxurious hair and body wash products for your stay. You'll also find some gorgeous bath salts to use for a soak in the outdoor bath.
RELAX UNDER THE STARS
Grab a glass of wine and a cheese plate and step outside to enjoy the afternoon sun setting on the escarpment. Take in the views from your private deck (seated or in the bath if you choose) or grab the marshmallows and head down to your private outdoor fire pit to lounge back in the Adirondack chairs and gaze up at the milky way.

Wildnest farmstay was the most relaxing scenic and rejuvenating weekend away that me and my girlfriend have ever had. Would highly recommend anyone looking for convenience and relaxation to book a Wildnest Farmstay retreat.

We couldn’t recommend Wildnest Farmstay – Kookaburra more. Everything about the space was thoughtfully designed — from the stunning views to the little touches that made it feel both premium and welco...ming.
The location is unreal. Waking up to kangaroos at sunrise and winding down with sunset BBQs made every part of the day feel special. The outdoor bath was such a highlight, and the peace and quiet gave us the reset we didn’t know we needed.
We visited at the end of summer (early autumn), so there was a fire ban in place and we couldn’t use the campfire — but honestly, the rest of the experience more than made up for it :D
If you’re looking for a place to unplug, reconnect, and actually 'get-away', this is it my friend!

We will 100% be returning to Wildnest Kookaburra, my only regret for this stay was we should of stayed longer!!
The serenity and calmness you feel as soon as you arrive to the property is magical. Th...e view is breath taking, I would recommend staying to anyone who asks.
The tent was equipped with everything you need, we didn't leave once we had arrived.
Having a bath and watching the stars shine so brightly is something I will never forget.

Corporate Events Manager turn Charity CEO now creating experiences to share my love of Central West NSW and help people disconnect to connect. I love nothing more than sitting back on our Capertee property with a glass of wine to watch the sun set across the escarpment. Now it's time to share this with those who are looking for the same moments of joy.

Gardens Of Stone National Park
Head to the Gardens of Stone National Park - part of the Greater Blue Mountains World Heritage Area. See rock formations where erosion has sculpted beehive-shaped domes. The National Park’s garden- like appearance is due to Banksia, dwarf casurinas and other wind-pruned heathland plants.
From The Paddock
From the Paddock is a farmhouse market, a café, and a purveyor of fine meat in the heart of the Capertee Valley. Take a scenic drive through the Valley to the farmhouse door where you'll be welcomed with fresh coffee and light meals made from local produce.
Capertee Valley
The Capertee Valley is recognised internationally as an Important Bird Area (IBA) and one of the 50 top birdwatching locations in the world. A diversity of habitats has resulted in a proliferation of bird species finding refuge here. Surrounded on all sides by spectacular sandstone cliffs, the valley is in transition zone where the forests of the Blue Mountains give way to the woodlands of the NSW western slopes.
Vegetation varies from semi-rainforest to open forest, grassy woodlands and farmland grasslands. Not as heavily cleared as many other rural areas, the valley retains large areas of the critically endangered White Box–Yellow Box–Blakely’s Red Gum Grassy Woodland and Derived Native Grassland. Many woodland bird species, whose populations have fallen alarmingly elsewhere, remain relatively common and easily seen here.

The Royal Hotel
A super cosy little hotel located not too far away from the cabin. Head here for some lunch or maybe just enjoy a beer in the sun on the back veranda. Whatever you feel like it’s worth a visit. Craft Works Distillery is also located at the back of the hotel in a small tin shed.

Capertee National Park
Head to Capertee National Park for scenic bushwalking and bird watching. This National Park is located west of the Blue Mountains and has a range of unique wildlife and plants.

Surround Yourself With Glowworms
Located in Wollemi national park, the glowworm tunnels is a unique experience to walk through. Once you walk in, make sure you stay in one spot for a few minutes to let your eyes adjust to the darkness. And soon you’ll see glowworms surround the entire tunnel!
Driving to Glowworm Tunnel can be tricky, there's a long dirt road (~30km!) with LOTS of potholes. Mind you the roads are REALLY TOUGH! It took us double the amount of time to get there. We suggest driving a 4WD AND allow extra time.
