Enjoyed a few days away from the busyness of the city in this quaint and cozy little abode. MoM was conveniently located in the heart of the town. Lesley was very helpful in providing us all the neces...sary information and recommendations before our arrival. We visited the Tenthram Falls during our stay which is about 15 minutes drive away then stopped for hot chocolate at Sisko (must try the Sisko Signature). We also had a chilly but lovely morning walk to the Blackwood Mineral springs and up to the lookout to watch the sunrise 🌅

Relax and unwind we did. Seeking an opportunity to unplug from the world and reset. We were lucky enough to get a massage with Rachel from Skin Solace just 10 mins walk through the town, then wondered... back grabbing a coffee at the cafe. Spending the afternoon sitting in the sunroom observing the nature while reading and sharing a bottle of wine. Then enjoying the warmth of the fire throughout the evening.

I love sharing times with friends, meeting new people and the simple pleasures of a slow life.
Blackwood has this and more.
There are lots of opportunities to experience the Australian bush & bird life, bush walking, and just slowing down and unwinding.
I love hosting and sharing Blackwood with people.

Here are some details about the adventures nearby. Refer to the map for their location.
Byers Back Track
Winding through the Lerderderg National Park along the old miners tracks (aqueducts) by the river. This track is 12.5 kms long and not a loop, it will require a car shuffle. Start at Jindarup PO finish at O'Brien's Crossing, taking about 4 hrs, feeling energetic, complete the loop.
Trentham Vibes
Trentham is a little town enclosed by forest and nature. It has really good spots to enjoy brunch or dinner – don't miss the chai at Trentham General, the sausage rolls at Redbeard, or the pizza at The Cosmo!

Wood Fire Pizzas And Vino
Great night out – we loved the pizza and the parma! The wine list is pretty good and there are a lot of fireplaces, which makes the venue really cozy.
Trentham Falls
A small walk from the car park to the Trentham Falls, where we enjoyed incredible views.
Trentham Falls
Discover the beautiful and lush Trentham Falls, Victoria's highest single-drop waterfall. The falls were formed some five million years ago by molten lava rapidly cooling as it flowed along the old Coliban River valley.
Trentham waterfall cascades 32 metres onto the quartz gravel below. Located in the Wombat State Forest, this natural wonder is particularly enchanting in winter when every moss covered rock and fern glistens with water.
The Trentham Falls Reserve, located on the Great Dividing Range is the perfect place to enjoy a picnic by the river. There are great facilities, including picnic tables, barbecues and toilets nearby.

Mountain Bike Riding
For mountain bike riding enthusiasts, it depends on your skill level and how down and dirty you want to get. You are literally in the center of the Wombat Forest and Lerderderg State Park – unmarked trails are on your doorstep.
