Stunning accommodation in a beautiful setting - plus the lamb steaks were delicious. There is also lots to do and explore in the area, we wish that we had stayed longer. Highly recommend!

The house was amazing and very comfortable to stay in. It was very spacious and had everything you need for a relaxing stay. The view out was beautiful - we didn't need to leave at all. Angela the host was very friendly. We highly recommend staying here. Thank you

The Wool House exceeded our expectations. Such a beautifully finished house in a breathtaking setting. One of the highlights was being able to watch the sunrise every morning from the bed like it was ...a cinema screen in front of us; really special. Angela and Neil were also really responsive in their communication and so willing to show us the jetty. Already looking forward to a return trip (hopefully with our boat next time!)! Thank you Angela and Neil.

'Forge Creek Lamb', a paddock to plate fresh cut lamb concept supplying lamb to local restaurants and local farmers markets. 'Our Wool Naturally', a line of premium bedding products made from the wool off our farm grown sheep. 'The Tank' & 'The Wool House', our unique accommodation dwellings for couples to experience Forge Creek Lamb on their plates and sleep on Our Wool Naturally!

Boating Fishing

Set out for adventure on Gippsland's watercourses from the town of Paynesville – a coastal village surrounded by lakes on three sides, with canals and coves providing protected moorings for boats. Fish for black bream and mullet and keep an eye out for dolphins. Head to Eagle Point Bluff down a vehicle track that provides a beautiful view and leads to some great fishing spots.

You're staying alongside the largest inland waterway in the southern hemisphere, so get out and make a splash! Paddling, toe dipping, jetty jumping, boating, fishing, kayaking - pretty much anything you can do on or near the water you can do from here, with quiet, sheltered access to the Gippsland Lakes just below your cabin.

There's a private jetty so bring your boat if you've got one, and enjoy our complimentary kayaks year round, with paddles and life vests provided.

We're just 5 kilometres from some pretty amazing mountain bike tracks located in the Colquhoun forest nearby. Suitable for beginners, intermediate and experienced riders, there's a series of figure eight tracks through old growth forest to enjoy - nice! If you don't have your own bike you can hire one from our mates at Venture Out Australia. They also have SUP's, hobies and kayaks available, with some guided tour options and great holiday programs.

And that's just the beginning really.... We pride ourselves on ensuring you'll find the best of what our region has to offer whilst you're here. Your cabin features a guest information folder with our recommended places to explore, visit and experience, and naturally, where to find the best coffee.
