Featuring 2 bedrooms with comfortable queen beds and heating the cottage sleeps up to 4 Adults (plus one infant cot if required)
The open plan living, dining and kitchen area is bright and spacious and opens up to a large entertaining deck with views of Babbington Hill & the Wombat State Forest. The Smart TV is connected to the wifi and includes free Netflix for those cosy nights in.
The well-equipped kitchen includes everything you need for cooking at home, an electric oven and gas stove a fridge/freezer, dishwasher, kettle, toaster, an array of cooking utensils, Breville coffee machine and milk frother so you can enjoy a morning coffee on the deck while taking in the view.
Should you opt to eat out there are plenty of cafes, pubs and restaurants in the Trentham-Daylesford district. Every second Sunday, 10-1pm the Lyonville Community cafe run by volunteers is open at the town hall (over the road) for delicious home baked goods and great coffee.
Lyonville is a historic timber milling town a short 5-minute drive from Trentham & the Trentham Falls, and a beautiful 15 minute drive into Daylesford. The small town is surrounded by the Wombat State Forest and there are many bushwalking tracks a short stroll away. The Lyonville mineral springs are a 20 minute bush walk or short drive away and the Domino Trail walk to Trentham commences at the end of the street. The Hanging Rock Llama walk is a fun alternative to walking the Domino Trail alone and it commences at the town hall over the road on weekends (bookings required).
Lyonville located both in the middle of nowhere and at the centre of the universe is the perfect place to stay and explore the Daylesford - Trentham region.
Rainwater is our only water source. We are in a water catchment zone so it is beautiful drinking water however please consider when showering as the tank water is limited especially over the summer months.
The cottage has a Septic system so only toilet paper in the toilet, please. Any other item including tissues can be placed in the bins provided.
