Please call me on 0405 824 626 before you book. An original 1949 London Bus that served in London from 1950 to 1969. After using it as a party and events bus for 13 years, we have converted it into the most awesome ‘oldskool’ motorhome on the planet! You will absolutely love it if you are into retro and basic camping. I am the only driver and can drive it to you for use at a suitable site of your choice and pick it up after your hire and drive it home. I can also re-locate it for you by prior arrangement for an added cost to be agreed. Greater Sydney, Sutherlandshire, Illawarra and Wollongong areas....

BUS DETAILS
The Britstop is an original 1949 London Double Decker Bus converted into a Motorhome, I can park in a powered (or unpowered if you want to 'rough' it!) site of your choice. It can be used as 'parked' accommodation only! There are many site options to choose from in Greater Sydney, Sutherland Shire, Wollongong and The Illawarra region to name a few. I can also deliver it to any type of property in those areas if you have permission to park there and it’s legal and accessible to the bus. Then just plug-in to the mains like a house on wheels!
BUS FEATURES
- Fully equipped kitchen, dining area, lounge area on both decks (the lower deck lounges can be 2 extra kids or small adults beds)
- Top deck lounge has a DVD/CD player, 6 beds on the top deck consisting of a double bed and 4 bunk beds, curtains and 2 chests of drawers with hanging wardrobe space.
- Power is from mains plug in on the location / site you choose and we have power points all over both decks on 2 circuits, left side and right side of both bus decks. If you are on an unpowered site we have battery lights, gas burners and campfire cooking equipment available.
- We also have on board curtains in sleeping areas, books, board games, large chess set, kids and adults DVD's (that sounds wrong!!! I mean movies for grown ups!), hot water bottles and heaters on both decks.
- The kitchen is on the lower deck and has a sink/draining board and plug in appliances like large fridge, large water boiler, toaster, kettle, bbq grille, blender/juicer, microwave oven, frying pans, sandwich maker, cooling fans, plates, cups, glasses, all utensils and cutlery. We also have a basic condiments pantry and useful stuff like first aid kit and typical kitchen draw bits and bobs stuff!
- The bus has a good quality caravan type toilet with a flush and a little 'potty' type toilet for kids night time emergencies and you use the facilities at the site or place you stay. We also have an outdoor 40 litre solar shower which can be attached to the bus with a shower tent on request. Please advise if you want it or not.
- Lighting is plug in lamps.
If you want linen, pillows and bedding it's an extra charge depending how many you need. Please bring your own pillows, towels and sleeping bags or quilts for personal hygiene reasons.

I can deliver it and set it up anywhere accessible in Greater Sydney, Illawarra region including Sutherland Shire, Caringbah/Miranda area, Wollongong, Bulli, Corrimal and Coledale to name a few.
We are based 1 hour south of Sydney. It can be used as 'parked' accommodation only, at any legal site which we must agree on first! There is a ‘cleaning’ fee per booking of $150 as a one off charge which actually covers the transportation to and from your preferred location up to within an hour of our Helensburgh base. Further distances will be for an agreed extra cost.
I can deliver to yours or your friends place/Driveways/Gardens/Farms/Camp sites/Caravan parks/Beaches etc etc. Anywhere with a mains power point to plug in to unless you want to 'rough it' unpowered which we have many times. We have equipment on board for roughing it!
PLEASE NOTE
Hirers do not drive The Britstop motorhome, so please bring your own car or motorbike or bikes if you require your own transport during your hire period, I am the only driver and I drive the bus and deliver/set up at a site of your choice. I can also relocate the motorhome for you to another site, for an agreed fee, during the hire period if I am available to do so. I then pick it up at the end of hire period. You can extend your hire with a days notice subject to mine and the bus's availability. Don't delay - book today! There is nothing quite like it on Planet Earth. You and your family and friends will love it!
INTERACTION WITH GUESTS
My wife and I will set it all up, meet you on site at an agreed time on the 1st day of hire and show you around. If you prefer, we can leave the key to the Backgate for you when we drop the bus off and leave instructions. We will be contactable by mobile phone and email 24/7 and nearby to help with any issues that may eventuate. We will see you again on check out day at midday or later if preferred
HISTORY
It is an original 1949 built London Double Decker Leyland Titan Bus, that served in London Transport from 1950 to 1969, the year I was born. My wife and I shipped it to Sydney in 2001 and used it as a private hire party and events bus for 13 years.
The bus, having been built in 1949 and having done millions of KM's, is no show pony and is rough around the edges and quirky. We've converted it into an awesome motorhome with the basic needs, clean, tidy, very comfortable and most of all it's a genuine, original and unique Leyland Titan RTL PD2 London Transport Double Decker. We actually own a house in London that the band from the 80s and 90s 'The Eurythmics' used to live in and the Bus used to drive past it on one of it's many routes including the famous number 19 tourist areas. We absolutely love it like it's a part of the family and we want to share the love!
PLEASE NOTE YOU MUST ARRANGE THE CAMPSITE OR THE LOCATION THAT THE BUS IS TO BE PARKED PRIOR TO SUBMITTING YOUR BOOKING REQUEST. A $150 CLEANING FEE WILL BE ADDED TO YOUR BOOKING WHICH IS ACTUALLY THE COST TO TRANSPORT THE BUS TO AND FROM YOUR PREFERRED SITE.
There are no bathroom or toilet on board so just use the facilities wherever you choose to camp....

Heaps of games and activities for the whole family including a hammock, pop up shelter, picnic blanket, board games, playing cards, UNO, monopoly, mastermind, colouring books/pens, books, dvd's, cd's, lawn bowls, horse shoes, torches, football, volleyball, rugby ball, golf balls, frisbi, kite, throwing games, tennis, cricket set, badminton, paddles, 4 snorkelling kits, 3 pairs of rock hoppers/wet shoes, flippers, surf board, 2 wet suits, divers knife/sheath, sunscreen, first aid kit, Mozzi spray and roll on, mozzi coils, sports balls, dog lead, bowls and dog running rope and we can supply a dog if you want also! LOL. We have also got candles, head torches and battery operated equipment on board for non powered sites and for emergency power failure at sites. We have tried to think of everything!...
