We had such a perfect weekend at Jonathan and Jennifer's. The area was beautiful, they were incredibly kind hosts and the breakfast each morning was absolutely amazing. The kangaroos were adorable and overall it was just a great experience. Thank you so much again!

What an amazing experience! The hosts have truly thought of everything! Our stay was comfortable and brekkie was absolutely delicious!! Super clean, all items on hand as you need!
Location is great! Super quiet but still close to places to eat and see!
The ‘Roos were the icing on the cake!

Facilities and the location where wonderful.
Waking up to Wallabi...es feeding not far from the front of the tent was special.
Breakfast was wonderful.
We highly recommend this if you want something different, hosted by truly nice people.

Since March 2020 we have been caring for orphaned kangaroo joeys and we now live with a small mob of hand raised roos that have been released.

The Homely Eclectic Pub
Homely and eclectic, the Mount Macedon hotel was one of our favourite visits. With in-house gin and tonics, a crackling fire and lovely staff, you’d be silly not to pop in. With hundreds of beer tap logos spread across the ceilings of the pub, it's safe to assume they've tried a few beers and know what they're talking about. We cosied up by the crackling fire with a few couple of glasses of wine to reflect and unwind from our busy day.

The mysterious story of the Valentine's Day disappearance of a group of schoolgirls and their teacher while visiting Hanging Rock in 1901. Macedon Ranges Walking Trail
Take on the 18.8km circuit hike which links the Camels Hump and Mount Towrong with the mountain villages of Mount Macedon and Macedon.
Sanatorium Lake Walk
Nice and easy walk to visit Sanatorium Lake, which was originally built to provide water for the nearby tuberculosis sanatorium. When the clinic closed many years ago, the pond became a small, wild lake.
Mount Macedon Memorial Cross
A picturesque cross can be found at this place, commemorating the ANZAC soldiers. There are also a couple of nice walks with a couple of lookouts to stop by.
Camels Hump Lookout
Located on Mount Macedon, Camel's Hump lookout is only a 20-minute return trip. It's a great hike for exploring the Macedon Ranges, regardless of whether it's a clear day or covered by the cloud.
