We had an amazing stay at Harmony Homestead Sanctuary. The glamping dome was beautifully presented, incredibly peaceful, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. Waking up to the stunning ...views and spending the evening by the fire made it such a memorable experience.
A special thank you to Sally, who was so lovely and incredibly helpful throughout our stay. She made us feel so welcome and was always happy to help with anything we needed.
If you’re looking for a romantic escape to unwind and reconnect, I couldn’t recommend this place more highly. We’ll definitely be back! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Just out of Clunes was our rainforest tent, one of those places that immediately encourage you to slow down. Overlooking a rainforest regenerated by a shared land community, we were surrounded by secl...usion, quiet stillness, birdsong, and beauty.
The dome was a warm and welcoming, intentional space. Highlights include the natural microphone in the centre, the surprisingly cozy bed in a loft upstairs, the ever shifting light and movements from outside reflecting through, and the hot cocoa in a cushion nest. We meandered from afternoon to nighttime, exploring the lush gardens, curved paths, a natural pool, outdoor bath and shower, fire pit and camp kitchen. With a rustled-together meal cooked on the fire, and a hot magnesium milk bath in the night forest air, we slowed down and felt like nothing else existed.
After another morning bath, we walked back to our car as sunlight quietly filtered through dense and dewy leaves. Ames, who had been trying to photograph the landscape, took a moment to thank the space, and we left grateful for the room we give one another to experience, to feel, to become immersed and to be ourselves.
We will come again and spend more time here.

Harmony Homestead is an inspired bush retreat in the Byron Bay Hinterland.
We treat our property as a temple and share our skills with others though short-term stays, and inviting others for seasonal retreats, homesteading and crafting workshops.
We are inspired to continue creating a sanctuary for living beauty to thrive and love to grow things.
Our micro seasonal flowers keep us busy as well as tending to the many aspects of our rural family lifestyle, including the regenerating rainforest environment.

Nature Pool Swimming Sunbathing
This property has the most beautiful natural swimming pool. It's chemical free and has little fish living in there! The sound of flowing water and plants filtrating the pool just steps away from your sleeping quarters it was such a luxury to wake up and enjoy the pool multiple times amongst our stay.

Clunes Town Cafe General Store Uncle Petes Book Store
We spent the morning enjoy a coffee with some cards at the clunes cafe, picked up some snacks, flowers and treats for a waterfall Adventure from the general store then had a browse and grabbed ourselves a book each from uncle Pete's book store the cutest second book store.
The Eltham Hotel
Good food, epic atmosphere, and a pool table to keep things entertaining after dinner.
Cooling Off At Whian Whian Falls
This humble waterfall was a welcomed surprise, the surrounding rock pools were perfect for exploring and cooling off during a muggy afternoon.
Whian Whian Waterfalls
A beautiful waterfall with many quiet and gorgeous pockets for swimming and basking on the rocks in the sunshine. The falls are just a 2min walk from the car parking area - highly recommend.
Scenic Drive Through Town Federal
A cool town and an even cooler drive through the hinterlands. Federal situated out of Byron has it all from lemons on the side of the road to cool Japanese restaurants and boutique stores.
Doma A Lunch Gem
If you don’t already know about Doma, it’s time to get in the knowma. All dad jokes aside, this is one of the hinterlands best kept not-so-secret places to grab a bite. There’s not much out in Federal but what they do have is quality. I love this joint for their sushi hand rolls and outdoor, sunshine dining. Mona and I really took our time here, ordering our warm drinks, and making small talk with some people we knew that we just happened to run into. It’s that kind of place where you’ll see an old friend and possibly someone who’s insta famous (I fangirled out when the @inspiredunemployed took the table right behind us) but it’s not blown out Byron vibes, if that makes sense. It’s cool but it’s not blown out cool (yet). The food is great, the vibe is great - all around great.
