Nestled among the gum trees at the back of your hosts’ 2.5 acre property lies this newly built, private barn-inspired retreat ready for your next coastal getaway.
Enjoy the bustle of Torquay only a short drive away, or indulge the serenity with a glass of wine whilst sitting around the fire pit on our gorgeous lawn.
You'll also love our carefully selected breakfast items, your own serene yoga studio, as well as a balinese-inspired outdoor bath and shower area to melt your stress away.

Built in 2023, our barn-inspired retreat is the perfect place to relax and explore our beautiful Surf Coast. Perfect for couples, small families or as a quiet solo getaway.

As you enter the retreat, you are welcomed with a spacious living and dining area, a well-equipped kitchenette with farm sink, a cozy living space with linen couch and Smart TV, and a modern bathroom with brushed brass tap ware and luxurious towels. The main bedroom features a comfortable queen size bed with beautiful linen bedding, block out blinds and spacious wardrobe.

The spiral stairs take you up to a loft space with two single beds and skylights to star gaze at night. The loft features plenty of toys to keep your little ones entertained on a rainy day.

NOTE: The loft has no door or block out blinds. Please consider these factors when booking.

Once outside, step on our custom built north-facing spotted gum oval deck and enjoy the peaceful native gardens and alpacas in the paddock. Amenities include a Weber BBQ, table and chairs, sun lounges, umbrella and a hanging chair perfect for listening to birdsong or enjoying a cup of coffee during sunrise.

End the day with an outdoor bath and shower and toast marshmallows by the fire pit.

Things to Note:

- All linen and towels provided. Please BYO beach towels.
- The kitchenette has a microwave, toaster, French press, kettle and portable induction cooktop. No oven or dishwasher are provided.
- The kitchen is stocked with the basics: Salt & pepper, olive oil, vinegar, hot sauce, tomato & BBQ sauce, sugar, loose-leaf teas and locally ground coffee. We also provide a locally-sourced breakfast box for you to enjoy including organic milk, granola, sourdough, jam and butter carefully curated by Surf Coast Picnics!
- Honesty Bar: The bar is stocked with local beer, wine and G&T for you to enjoy in exchange for a small fee. Please refer to price list.

For the Yoga Enthusiasts:
Enjoy a stretch in the Retreat’s adjoining yoga studio with mats and props free to use for our guests!

Laundry located in yoga studio:
Includes a front-loading washing machine and dryer. We provide natural washing detergent, but encourage you to take your own if you suffer from sensitive skin or like to avoid fragrances.

Dog-friendly:
With plenty of space to roam around, our Retreat is fully fenced and welcomes friendly pooches for a small fee. As we have alpacas and a pony on the property, please ensure your pets are familiar and safe to be around them.

Location:
Native Retreat is an easy 5-10 Minute drive away from Torquay town centre where you'll find surf shops, supermarkets, cafes, restaurants and boutiques. The retreat has its own separate driveway and ensures full privacy as it is located approx. 100m away from the hosts’ main house!
