THINAMI Retreat is a beautiful retreat nestled in the hinterland. You will be surrounded by rainforest, fruit trees, Australian natives and lots of wildlife.

THINAMI is the perfect place to come and relax, unwind, reconnect with yourself, connect with nature and escape the hustle and bustle.

You will find a calm and gentle pace, beautifully styled rooms, lush grounds with organic produce and friendly staff.

THINAMI Retreat is set on just shy of 20 beautiful acres in Lindendale, situated 20 minutes from Ballina Byron Gateway Airport and 40 minutes south of Byron Bay.

Our property is surrounded by acreages and farms. We are 20 minutes from the coast, so you get the best of the beautiful beaches of the Northern Rivers as well as the hinterland. We are just off the freeway so accessing all the amazing towns and sights up here is very easy.

There is also easy access to shopping and amenities being so close to Ballina, Lismore and Alstonville. The closest shops are about 12 minutes away with a convenience store just a few minutes' drive at the end of our road.

Thinami Retreat is a 7 bedroom retreat, when you book to stay with us you are booking a private room with its own bathroom. Note that there is no kitchen available, we do however include a light breakfast with our bookings.

Absolutely sensational. If you're looking for an exceptional, rejuvenating and peaceful escape... Look no further!
I made the decision to book on New Year's Eve and arrived New Year's Day. I travelle...d up the coast, by myself to start the New Year with a fresh start- Best decision I have ever made.
The hosts were friendly, very accommodating, always available if i needed anything and just absolutely kind-hearted people!
Each day, I would come back from exploring the surround towns and it was like coming back home - But the kind of home where you feel nothing but peace and relaxation, comfort and security. The hosts made me felt like i was staying with friends or family.
Delicious home-made complementary breakfast, unbelievably amazing surroundings, crazy-soft bath towels and linen, exceptionally clean rooms and ammenities, large swimming pool, onsite shop and spa, easy and spacious parking. There is nothing at all I could fault. I didn't want to leave!

Overall, what makes this retreat so exceptional is the aura and vibe the family create. I will definitely be returning, it is just a matter of when. x x

I recently had the privilege of staying at Thinami Retreat, and it was nothing short of magical. The room, beautifully nestled amidst a lush native forest, allowed nature's symphony to serenade us rig...ht at our doorstep. What stood out the most, however, was the delightful organic breakfast. It was evident that each dish was made with utmost care and love. A special shout-out to their homemade jams - do yourself a favor and try each one. They're a testament to the passion and dedication of the family hosts. Highly recommended for a serene and immersive nature experience.

Killen Falls is in Tintenbar, a short scenic drive off the highway. The viewing platform is a 660-metre return walk and the base of the falls is a one-kilometre return walk from the car park area. It's a great spot to stop for a swim and picnic!
