Amazing stay! Honestly felt like we were on a tropical island somewhere far far away. We seemed to be the only people on the street that week. The house is HUGE, so much room to find a peaceful spot t...o chill and those sea breezes are to die for. Location and views that can’t be beat. Such a well considered space for gathering the whole family or a large group of friends. Thanks so much for having us

Welcome to Getawayz NSW. My name is James and I am the Managing Director!
Getawayz NSW was created by myself when I worked in the corporate world. There were so many times in my corporate life where I would be sitting at my desk thinking “just get me away”! I had a few investment properties that I had just put on Airbnb and I was being thanked almost every day for helping people with their dream holidays! I created spaces with love and detail. For me, it’s not only about the location but also about the space and the small touches. I thought there must have been a gap in the market for premium accommodation services with professionals that do not have time to share their beautiful homes.
My aim is to provide the most luxurious experiences for all my guests. From the moment they open the door, I want there to be a wow factor! Whether it be a bad day at work, months in lockdown over COVID-19, or anything in between with the struggles that the last 2 years have bought us, Getawayz NSW is a pun on “get me away” - but not just to anywhere, but to one of the best homes in NSW. Once you have stayed at one of my properties, I want the first thing to be is when you return home is wanting to book with Getawayz NSW again!
Getawayz NSW offers some of the most premium inner-city homes, beautiful country cottages, luxury eco-cabins to grand homesteads as well as some of NSW’s most gorgeous beach homes.
I (James, the Managing Director) have never been one to feel boxed in or be put in a box - I like to think outside the box! I wanted to create a brand that shows no matter what you are after in NSW, Getawayz will be able to give you a premium offering no matter what the area. Whether it’s beach, bush, or city life - we have the best homes available to offer!

High Tide Wading In Swan Bay
High tide here is so magic, there were so many fish and little rays darting around our feet, the water was gorgeous and magical as the kids waded around and then a pod of dolphins swam by! As the tide starts to go out the swans know what's up and they start to arrive in crowds, so lovely watching them gently fishing. Serenity!
Pat Feed Stingrays At Anna Bay
An amazing experience up close and personal at Irukandji Shark & Ray Encounters feeding and patting the rays and sharks while they gently glide over your toes! Not just breathtakingly fun, we really learnt a lot of new info about our new favourite flat ocean friends.
Kayaking At Port Stephens
The Port Stephens Marine Park holds 26 pristine beaches and is a thriving sanctuary for local sea life. Paddle through the sparkling blue waters of the park, take in the salty ocean air and keep an eye out for the friendly dolphins swimming by. There are plenty of nice beaches and bays to launch the kayaks or book in with local tour providers for personalised tours and insider info.
Sand Boarding At Anna Bay
Get sandy at the biggest sand dune in the Southern Hemisphere! We had no idea how fun this was actually going to be. Even the ride over and back in the 4WD bus was fun! The experience has no time limit and we ended up staying for hours and hours as the kids mastered dropping in on the slope (and I fell on my bum a lot!). A responsible person might choose to go down the giant dunes on their bum instead hey?
Nelson Bay
The clear waters of Nelson Bay are a fantastic destination for water activities including; snorkelling swimming and diving. For snorkelling, there is easy access at well-known Fly Point where you'll find abundant sponge gardens. The incredible Broughton Island has so much to explore under the water but is only accessible by boat. For more information visit local dive shops for gear and advise.
