Was a great get away. Easy to find and a great place to recharge your batteries. Quiet with a touch of luxury and an awesome breakfast basket. Would definitely recommend to anyone needing a picturesque escape. I loved the highland cows!! Feeding them was one of the highlights.

We recently had the most wonderful stay at Applegarth Cottage Farmstay with the wood-fired hot tub and honestly it was exactly what we needed. Such an amazing break from the city. Peaceful, relaxing a...nd surrounded by beautiful countryside.
The outdoor wood-fired hot tub was a real highlight. Sitting under the open sky with the fire crackling away with a glass of plonk was the perfect way to unwind. Jennifer also provided delicious breakfast ingredients which made for a really lovely, slow start to the morning.
Another great touch was meeting the farm animals. There were a couple of cute cows and a heap of sheep around the property, and Jen kindly gave us a small basket of carrots so we could feed them, such a simple but memorable experience.
Overall it was a fantastic stay and we’d absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a cosy, romantic escape from the city. We left feeling refreshed and already talking about coming back!

Applegarth Cottage was glorious. The cottage is lovely & decked out beautifully - crockery, glasses, cushions, & linen. The king size bed is really comfortable.
We enjoyed our own cheese & wine on the... front deck on the first evening before enjoying the hot tub that had been prepared for us. We walked into Queenscliff along the rail trail for a nice lunch the following day and took breakfast on the last morning in the beautiful sunshine on the back deck. Superb!!

Excellent bakery making scrumptious pastries and pouring really good coffee.

Close to our stay, we found Farmer's Harvest, a farm gate grocery store. Grab some fresh fruit or veg. We bought a whole watermelon to snack on later.

Flying Brick Cider is a bistro serving modern pub fare with a great eye for detail, fresh ingredients and cosy atmosphere; they also have an incredible high cheese special that includes a three-tiered cheese stand with baked treats, lavosh, breadsticks and a variety of hard and soft cheeses.
