Spent some time with the family at Smiths Lake, and even had the chance to throw the line in.

We enjoyed a golden sunset down by Smiths Lake. A real highlight of the few days unwinding around this beautiful area.

If you're looking for a tasty local breakfast and coffee, I would highly recommend visiting Frothy Coffee. It's located on Smiths Lake and the scones were delicious! The lake itself is also very beautiful and peaceful.

This headland is nothing short of incredible. The jagged rocks sticking out of the headland look like something out of a movie scene! The beach itself is stunning with a rainforest walk to enter onto the beach, clear water and the headland for some awesome views. If you keep climbing around the headland and aren't too scared of heights, there's a great spot to sit and dangle your legs out over a huge cliff drop into the ocean! Well worth doing.

The host of the Rammed Earth Studio is Megan, a qualified permaculture teacher and someone who has been living a sustainable, organic lifestyle for years. We decided to do the 'Edible Gardens Tour' to get an understanding of the permaculture system, and what it would be like to run a small-scale "urban" farm, while working and raising kids. Needless to say, we were impressed! Megan takes you through her whole setup, from veggies to chickens, to woodfired pizza ovens, to building techniques for the house itself. You'll even get to nibble on some of the fresh produce at the end of the tour. Highly recommended.
