River Kayak From The Jetty

The hosts offer an awesome double kayak to use. It sits at the jetty right in front of the cottage. You can explore in either direction for hours! The jetty is also a gorgeous sunrise spot. You can wander over with a hot coffee and enjoy - the best start to your day.

The hosts offer 2 great bikes to use. There is a perfect windy country road to bike along about 5km long. You can cross over at the weir and come back along the Eastern side of the river to Gladstone.

The Gladstone Hub is a must see. Such a gorgeous space with a vintage shop, opp shop and cafe with absolutely scrumptious toasties!

A gorgeous little town on the river with great cafes, vintage finds, boutiques, florist and beauty parlour. Enjoy the beautiful riverside park and playground right across the road from the Heritage Hotel.

Cute little roadside stall on the road home from Hat Head. We found some scrumptious relish!

Gladstone Markets

Gorgeous markets in the centre of town running along the rivers edge. We found treats for the dogs and treats for ourselves!

The local pub with cold beer and good food only just 15 mins out of Hat Head

Bushwalking And Swimming

Other things to do around Crescent Head include bushwalking, swimming and fishing in Hat Head National Park, Goolawah National Park and Limeburners Creek National park. On the Big Hill Rainforest walking track you can spot koalas and from a headland marvel at whales during their annual migration.
