We loved our stay at Creswick Country Retreat! The design inside is beautiful, from the warm wood panelling to the tiled fireplace, but the stunning blue bathroom was a real highlight. A bubble bath w...as the perfect way to finish a day of exploring.
We stayed with friends and loved having so many comfortable spaces to relax, play board games and enjoy meals together. The fire made the evenings especially cosy, and Creswick was a lovely base for local walks and adventures nearby. Would definitely recommend it for a relaxing getaway with friends!

The property is quite unassuming from the outside but inside is this absolutely beautiful, cozy setting.
The small but mighty fireplace quickly heats the space, the kitchen is fully equipped with eve...rything you may need should you opt for a relaxing night in. The bathroom is absolutely stunning with a huge deep tub.
All this mixed with the serene setting easily viewed through the many properties windows makes for everything one would need for a much needed rural getaway.
I’d also like to mention the amazing cherry blossom trees the run up the driveway!
The town of Creswick is super cute and Daylesford is a short drive away.
Overall, highly recommend if you’re looking for a peaceful, cozy getaway. Mari (the host) was excellent with communications and ensured we had everything we needed like firewood, coffee, milk and tea. I also absolutely felt as though I could message her with any questions I may have had.

Swimming At St Georges Lake
We spent the afternoon laying in the sun and floating around the lake, which is surrounded by forest and the best local secret for a swim!
Blue Waters
We stumbled on this gem called Blue Waters, a sort of hidden spot away from the main attractions. When the sun hits it in a certain way, the water lights up in an epic bright blue colour.
Not So Blue Waters
We stopped at Blue Waters, surprised by its vibrant green rather than blue lake, surrounded by bushland and bright yellow spring flowers.
A Spud Stop
The Big Spud was closed whilst we visited, but its quirky displays and peaceful views across farmland and a dam made stopping worthwhile.
Getting Lost At Maze House
We got lost in Maze House, hunting for eight hidden gems and enjoying playful games around the gardens.
Captains Creek Winery
You can have a cellar door tasting experience or site back with a meal and a glass of organic wines that are grown all around you. If you speak with the owners you can learn all about the history of the farm, wine and eco-village. An absolute must-see.
