A tiny home nestled in our orchard. A great overnight stay on our farm. This tiny home was created by Rob Scott (Architect and Builder) who designed my truck houses. It is miniature. It has a double bed, a chair and a small potbelly wood heater. It does not have a kitchen. There are tea and coffee making facilities, crockery and cutlery, and a small fridge in the utilities room.
The orchard is full of apples, pears, apricots, nectarine, plums and peach trees. Fresh organic fruit is available to sample in summer and Autumn.
The orchard tiny house is quite private and is surrounded by paddocks full of cows and horses. We have about 50 fruit trees on the farm, a large vegetable garden and creek/wetland.
To find your way to the orchard tiny house simply drive down McIntyres rd until you get to the entrance of the Steiner School. Do not drive into the school .Come through the farm gate on your right immediately before the school sign. There are various signs on the gate. 'Land for Wildlife", "Mary Rose Farm Trucks' etc etc. Drive to the end of the driveway until you see the sheds in front of you and you can drive no further. You would have passed the blue studio truck on your right and my house on your left(limestone brick), and also come through some double gates(usually open). Turn immediately left once you have gone through the double gates and you are following the fenceline along on your left. You will see a little gate on your left along the fence into the orchard. Park next to the gate. The tiny house is in this orchard. Walk towards your right and it is behind the fruit trees.

My eight-year-old and I had the most wonderful one-night stay in Mary Rose's tiny home. The house is in the orchard, and we were lucky enough to have Blossom the 4 week old lamb as a neighbour. It was... wonderful for my son to have the opportunity to feed all of the animals, collect the eggs, and just enjoy being in nature. Despite it being a very chilly night, we were cosy and warm in the house with the little fire and lovely warm blankets. The farm is in a great location with Torquay only 15 minutes away. We had a lovely lunch there, played on the beach and brought back basic supplies for dinner and breakfast.
I will definitely be back for a longer stay!

We had a lovely time staying in Mary Rose’s tiny home. It was beautifully quiet, clean, and exactly what we wanted from our weekend away. Hopefully we will be able to return in future for a longer stay.

I'm a mother of 2 grown up girls who enjoys retired life on my biodynamic farm. I'm an environmentalist, and a member of local Landcare, land for wildlife, the biodynamic gardener's association, and society for rare domestic breeds. I also support the neighbouring Freshwater Creek Steiner School and an organisation that we have started called Rewilding Freshwater Creek. Animals on my farm include horses, cows, ducks, chooks and dogs. Kangaroos visit us along the creekline and we have alot of local birds. We grow a lot of our own food, vegetables, fruit, eggs. I love country life and love to share this peaceful environment with my guests.
