We loved our stay at this gorgeous little sunny spot. It has everything you need - sunrise views from the back, sunset from the front, and a giant cozy bed where you can watch the ocean from while sipping your tea - we didn't want to leave!

On arrival, I felt that all the worries of the world melt away. The enormous deck overlooks Piha and has the most wonderful and everchanging views. The beach is literally metres away and is dog friend...ly. The house is welcoming and rustic in style. Great shower and a very comfortable bed with crisp, white sheets.

I loved starting and finishing the days with long beach walks with my canine companion.

I made the one hour drive out to Piha for sunset but any west coast beach will be equally as impressive. Bonus points if you stop at a fish & chip shop on the way!

Kitekite Falls located in Waitakere Ranges Regional Park, near the famous Piha Beach, is a beautiful 40-meters multi-step waterfall. A moderate 30 minutes' walk will lead you to the waterfall. Enjoy the amazing views.

Kitekite Waterfall Walk

A beautiful, easy walk, approx 30 mins through native bush to reach the falls. As it was spring when we visited we didn't get in for a swim, but will definitely be coming back in summer to plunge!
