FIRE SAFETY
To ensure your safety and comfort, please familiarise yourself with the wood fire instructions before operating the fire:
1. Please do not load oversized logs into the fire. The door should not be used to push in the log and will probably shatter if this is attempted.
2. Please ensure that the fire door is securely shut when you leave the cabin.
3. Please do not remove logs from the fire box in the wood stove, or if you must, please place it in the metal bucket beside the fire and ensure there is nothing flammable touching the log.
4. Please familiarise yourself with the fire extinguisher location and instructions and do not hesitate to use it if required.
Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you require further instructions on operating the fire.

Unfortunately we did not have a great experience during our 3 night stay in Eco Cabin 2 in early January. After confirming our arrival time twice, we found that the cabin had not been cleaned after th...e previous guests. The hosts offered to refund the first night due to this error however our first day was cut short due to this.
We were disappointed that the hosts don't live on site (to "meet and greet") as it ia advertised on their listing. Despite this, one of their neighbours (Graeme) who helps look after the property was very friendly and helped us during our stay.
The pictures on the listing are better than reality. The cabin itself is quite run down and is missing basic things that would have made the stay more comfortable, such as no shelf/bench in the bathroom and no hooks/rails to hang clothes. There was no information or instruction manual for the property such as how to use the stove/gas burner. We were pleased to find that there is running hot water as it appears this was previously not the case from older reviews.
The orchard and surroundings also appeared to be quite neglected and there was no sign that this was a working farm. There was no farm cellar door or restaurant (as advertised). We felt it was misleading to advertise it as a farm experience when this is not the case.
Cooking is a challenge particularly during summer as the only practical option is using the portable gas burner that sits outside on the BBQ which itself was rusty and probably not useable. Boiling water also required using the outside burner as there is no electric kettle.
There were a lot of dead insects inside the house including around the bed upstairs and the sofa bed downstairs was very old and worn.
On a positive note, there was a good WIFI connection and Netflix access on the TV. It was quiet and relatively private, even with guests staying in other cabins.
We paid $320 per night (including Riparide fees) for our stay, which we felt was not reflected in the quality of the property and overall experience.

The space was cute with a lovely view but absolutely freezing with no heater. The photos are better than the reality but it was adequate for what I needed. A little bit of love in regards to decor wou...ld go a long way. Perhaps a rug so you can sit in front of the fire. I was excited by the photos but underwhelmed upon arrival.
