Serenity with a view
Adventure in Reedy Creek, Macedon Ranges, VIC, AU
On a warm friday afternoon, we packed our bags, jumped in the car and set off to the tiny house at Reedy Creek. Not much more than an hour's drive, we were greeted by kangaroos, and knew we had arrived.
We spent our first moments enjoying the beautiful sunset and endless panoramic views. The serenity felt sitting by the outdoor fire pit was complimented by the spacious outdoor bath.
We spent the weekend exploring the property, picking blackberries, seeing wombats, kangaroos, echidnas. We explored the mountain tracks at Tallarook state forrest, before heading to Broardford for a well earned beer and lunch at the commercial hotel.
We took the scenic route home, being a very hot day we just had to find somewhere to go for a swim and managed to find a waterfall on the drive home to cool off.

Things We Did
- Hike
- Pub
- Walk
- Waterfall
Seeing the ranges from the accomodation, we had to go explore. Mountain track is steep but not too long and has a rewarding view at the top, we even met a couple of cute dogs guarding the tower.
After a hike on a hot day, a much needed beer and food at the commercial was an absolute treat.
The property is huge and worth exploring. There's heaps of wildlife and blackberries to pick. We had the fresh berries with our hot cross buns for breakfast.
On our way home we decided to take the scenic route and try find a swimming hole being a very hot day, so we stopped here and cooled off in the waterfall.
