Honey Chamomile Cottage

Our Honey Chamomile Cottage is built on the back of a 1980 Toyota dyna truck, using recycled and local materials and set on a 250 acre working farm in the heart of nymboida.

The cottage is set in its own yard, in our sheep paddock so you may experience some nosy (and cute) neighbours. It is entirely off grid, with a small solar setup that can be used to charge phones and laptops and runs our small fridge. Cooking is simple, on a small two burner stove with an oven.

The Space:
The shower is out in the open and is lovely and warm, however to do your dishes you will have to heat water on the stove as there is only a cold tap inside. The toilet is a simple compost toilet, a few metres from the truck. The bed is up over the cab of the truck and is a king single size. Which may be tight for two people depending on your preferences. We also provide a spare mattress that can be rolled out on the floor if required for 2 guests.

There is plenty of room within the yard as well for extra guests to camp.
We supply linen, towels, tea, coffee, oil, salt and pepper. You are also welcome to order a box of veggies from our market garden, milk from our cow and eggs from our chooks if you desire as well. Just let us know upon booking.

The Land:
The property is 250 acres and runs 30 cows, 20 sheep, 8 horses, 4 dogs and plenty of chooks and ducks. We (rachael and Mitch) live and work on the property with the animals and in our market garden which services 3 local markets a week. There are several walking trails around the property and plenty of creek spots for a dip!

The Area:
Nymboida is a small village 40kms south west of Grafton. There is a campground next door to our property with lovely creek spots, a creek walk and a cafe open Friday-Monday. The campground sells some essentials but best to stock up in Grafton on groceries before you arrive. The nymboida river is a few kms away and nymboida camping and canoeing runs river trips on request if you wish to book a day kayaking down the river. The nymboida growers market is fortnightly on a Sunday.
