Additional Information
Off grid power
- A small system works wonderfully when the sun’s out, and retains more than enough power for humble living throughout the evening, however mindfulness with power use is encouraged
- for example, turning lights off when not in use, and utilising items in isolation (if using the washing machine, wait a little while before using the toaster). This aims to minimise any requirement for generator backup.
- Appliances with large power draw (anything with an electrical heating element) are best left at home for this tranquil getaway (hair dryers, espresso coffee machines with double boilers)
Drinking water is derived from a deep spring!
- All water is filtered before it gets to the house
- At the kitchen, the drinking tap (right sink) is double filtered + UV light filtered
Bedroom – linen
- Linen is supplied, you are welcome to bring your preference of pillow
Bathroom
- Towels including bathmats all available in bathroom
Bathroom hygiene materials
- just be mindful that we are on septic, so nothing other than toilet paper please
Doggo's
- We welcome dogs, and trust guests to be responsible. Here, the wildlife have right of way, and right to graze, so please restrain your dog if swamp wallabies, eastern greys or even alpine dingos are around the house.
- At night, we prefer dogs to be inside (bring your own dog bed), for our nocturnal friends are out (eastern bandicoots, wombats, owls, & gliders)
