Loved our weekend getaway here - the cabin was super cute and cosy. Beautiful views and close to a few towns for when we wanted a taste of the hustle and bustle.
The cabin was equipped with everything we needed. Our dog Ziggi absolutely loved it too. Would recommend!

If you want the most amazing unplugged time away this is the cabin for you!! We absolutely loved our stay and loved the fact we could bring out little dog Jetta on our stay, she loved running around t...he whole property smelling brand new smells! The thing that stood out was how quiet it was, absolutely tranquility!!! We managed to get to a few amazing food spots as well as visiting the Kyneton Botanical gardens and the Cascades!! But most of all we loved sitting on the porch and relaxing. Highly recommend to anyone that wants some quiet time away.

Absolutely exceeded expectations! Such a beautiful little getaway, the house itself is so cozy, with a beautiful fireplace, comfy bed and giant bathtub. The property is gorgeous, we spent hours explor...ing the endless green pastures, following the little creek that winds endlessly through the property. Amazing location, close enough to Castlemaine but completely removed from everything. We absolutely adored our stay

Escape The Heat At The Cascades
At The Cascades, the river doesn’t fall in one dramatic drop. It moves in layers. Water slides and spills over wide slabs of rock, carving little channels and shallow pools as it goes. After the storm, everything felt alive. The rocks were dark and slick, the current louder than expected, threading through the bush with a steady rush. It wasn’t grand or crowded or signposted to death. It felt tucked away. Raw. The kind of place where you slow down naturally because the ground asks you to pay attention.
Metcalf Cascades
The Metcalf Cascades provide a stunning impression of water and rock and sit as a small hidden jewel in the local countryside.
The Cascades
At The Cascades, just to the west of the village of Metcalfe, the Coliban River flows over and among huge granite boulders and outcrops, creating many rock pools, small and large. The place is popular all year round for walks, picnics and swimming.
Turpins Falls
A bit off the beaten track, Turpins Falls is a 40-minute drive from Maldon. A popular swimming hole in summer, the falls are a beautiful place to sit and enjoy the tranquil surrounds. If the weather is nice bring a picnic and spend the day exploring the waterfalls.
Scenic Hike To The Monolith
We drove North towards the Black Hill Reserve, 260 acres of rare bushland and incredible rock formations. From the car park, there are three easy tracks that you can follow but we chose the apparently more scenic one Ridge Track. You might come across some steep sections when heading to the top but it is a very easy track and can be completed in about one hour and 30 mins. Stop to spot birds, wallabies, wombats, and some interesting rock formations. Explore a bit off track to find some beautiful views of the area.
Country Bike Ride
We had planned to go on a big ride but when we set off in the morning towards the path, we found ourselves enjoying our slow bike ride through the local streets, past the bluestone houses and country surroundings.
