Rillivan Retreat is one of those places that surprises you the moment you arrive. The main house is absolutely unique, blending luxury and character in a way that feels made for memorable gatherings. ...It sleeps up to 20 guests, making it incredible value when shared with family or friends.

The property offers plenty to keep everyone entertained, from the tennis and basketball courts, a incredible swimming pool and long afternoons exploring the grounds. But the real highlight for me was the private riverside setting along the Goulburn River — a beautiful canopy with fireplace, perfect for slow living, good conversations, and nights under the stars.

A big thank you to the hosts of Rillivan Retreat, it was a memorable escape!!

Rillivan Retreat was so impressive! Our group of friends loved every minute of our stay. It was the perfect location to get away from the hustle and bustle of life and unwind. We spent most of our tim...e together in and around the amazing house, making the most of the tennis court, and pool table to keep us occupied. Would definitely recommend a stay and we’re keen to book again for next year.

A beautiful country getaway! We had a wonderful stay here with many family members of various ages - there was so much for everyone to do - swimming, tennis, cricket, basketball, fishing or just relaxing around the fire pit! Hope to make it back here again for another big group holiday.

My husband and I bought the property in 2006 will a dream of 'rewilding' a slice of the Goulburn River. With the help of the Goulburn Valley Seed Bank, we revegetated more than 80% through direct seeding. Most of the Eucalypts and wattles that you now see are a result of this process. The river banks are now free from erosion and the paddocks and dams now are edged in native vegetation. It's been a joy to see this evolve. We hope you enjoy it.

Tennis Basket Court

The basketball and tennis courts quickly became the heart of our stay. Friendly competitions, plenty of laughs, and a reminder that sometimes the best part of an escape is simply spending quality time together. Whether you're travelling with family or a big group of friends, Rillivan has plenty of space to play, unwind, and make memories beyond the house itself.

House Access To Golbourn River

It's hard to beat an afternoon by the Goulburn River. Rillivan's riverside gazebo, complete with an outdoor fireplace and dining area, became our favourite place to gather after a day of exploring. Good food, great company, and the sound of the river flowing by—sometimes the best part of an escape is simply slowing down enough to enjoy moments like these.

Baracca Lane Cafe

A great little café tucked beside the local market, serving excellent coffee and a delicious brunch. Baracca Lane has that welcoming country-town atmosphere that makes you want to linger a little longer. Definitely worth the stop if you're exploring Seymour.

Authentic Panini In Seymour

Hanging for a good coffee and hearty sandwich, we consulted a local friend for the best cafe in town. They immediately recommended Baracca Lane, a small Italian deli on the main street of Seymour. The coffee was good but the meatball Panini was something else entirely, would make the drive again just for that.
The Brewer's Table

The Brewers Table

We scored a quality coffee and some breaky from The Brewer’s Table in Seymour. We then got lucky with a weekend market pop-up across the road, where the grazing continued with gozlemes, donuts and a cheeky pint of beer while local musicians kept the vibes up.
