Chris's Cottage - Mansfield Riverside Oasis

The farm cottage offers:
- One queen bedroom
- One twin room
- One twin room with king singles (can be made into a king bed if requested)
- One large bathroom with shower in bath
- Fully equipped kitchen including dishwasher and open fireplace
- Laundry
- Cosy lounge area with TV/DVD
- Wood heater and split system reverse cycle a/c in lounge room. Ceiling fans and panel heaters in all bedrooms.
- Large veranda with outdoor furniture and BBQ
- Private access to the river
- All linen and towels provided

Chris’s cottage is ideal for older families/groups and keen fishermen.

Start your day with coffee on the riverside picnic benches or unwind with a glass of wine as the sun sets, listening to the Delatite river flowing over the rocks and stones. During the cooler months, gather around the large open fireplace in the spacious kitchen, featuring a rustic brick floor, where you can warm up and toast marshmallows for a cosy evening.

We supply tea, coffee, hot chocolate, milk, porridge, olive oil, sugar, salt, and pepper. We have also provided books and games to make your stay enjoyable.

As part of the farm cottage’s historic design, access to the bedrooms is only via the veranda. To access the bathroom from the bedrooms, guests must enter from the veranda. There is only one toilet which is located in the one bathroom. Please consider if this will be suitable for your group before booking the property. The bathroom is clean but does have wear to the enamel.

This is a working farm. It is really important that guests do not enter any paddocks or open any gates in the property, as we just cannot guarantee your safety in these areas. There are lots of fantastic walks in the National Parks and State forests which are recommended in our guidebook. Any longer hikes happy to discuss.

Please note, there is no child safety fence between the cottage and the river and as such there is a significant risk for young children that may find their way down to the water.

Chris's cottage is a 15 minute drive from Mansfield and Lake Eildon and close to Mount Buller.

The Mansfield to Melbourne and Melbourne to Mansfield V-line buses run twice a day. See the website for timetable and fares. There is also Crown cab taxis and local car hire available.

Please note:
- Firewood is only available in the cooler months from the 1st April to the 1st October.
- It is a gravel/dirt road from Delatite Lane until the cottage.
- There is no wifi but there is Telstra and Optus mobile service. No Vodafone mobile coverage.
