Just sitting on the front porch enjoying the serenity and spectacular view then snuggling up with the huge indoor fire made it a memorable little trip. A beautiful off-grid little cottage - recommend ...a car that is higher off the ground than our low profile car for getting there. Had a very relaxing time.

Heavenly Homestead! Only 1.5 hrs out of Melbourne; Honey Hill is the perfect locale for a mini break on the school holidays when your little cherubs have been glued to their devices for days and you a...re looking for some reconnection. With all the comforts of home with the 'back to nature' benefits of outdoor living. Honey Hill is tastefully decorated with well appreciated personal flourishes throughout.
We awoke to native birdsong, warm sunlight drenching the property. With the historical Daylesford township a mere 10 minute drive from your rural seclusion your choice of wholesome adventures are plentiful. A core memory will be feeding the peacocks at Jubilee Lake. Our Daylesford cuisine of choice will always be jacket potatoes and roast rolls from the Hungry Wombat, simple food made to perfection! For a sweet treat head a few doors down to the Daylesford Hot Chocolate Company for their signature house blend, the best hot chocolate I have ever tasted. Finish off the day with a local white wine around the Honey Hill fire-pit. Bliss!

Picnic At Loddon Falls
A short walk to view the falls from the top, although if you want more like me to get up nice and personal, you'll need to climb down the natural stone steps and follow the tracks. Great spot for a picnic too on the giant rocks. I spent all afternoon watching the day go by..
The General Store
A quant general store on the main road into Glenlyon, stop off after the falls for food & coffee, local produce & wine.
Mount Franklin Walk
An extinct Volcano just out of Daylesford. Now used for picnics and a campground, Mount Franklin is worth a look. Do the circuit walk and watch as the huge pines give way to the natural eucalypts as you near the summit.
Sweet Treats
The Chocolate Mill was calling my name, so I drove 5 minutes outside of Daylesford to the chocoholics livin' day dream for some sweet treats! I got a take away travel pack of chocolates plus sat in for a chilli hot chocolate which I highly recommend!
Walking Through The Woods At Mount Franklin
Mount Franklin is a beautiful location, with stunning tall trees, autumn colours and a nice walk to the top. You can also camp there or set yourself up for a picnic lunch using the fire pits provided.
Soak In The Spa
What better way to end the weekend than the Hepburn Bathhouse and Spa. We treated ourselves to a private thermal mineral mud bath - highly recommended!
