Here are some details about the adventures nearby. Refer to the map for their location.

Split Point Lighthouse
The lighthouse, which overlooks the inlet, is still functioning today and was completely deserted that early in the morning. From there you can follow the short walking trails down for more views of the nearby beaches and cliffs or head back to the car park where there are plenty of good spots for a picnic.
Surfing In Aireys Inlet At Sandy Gully Beach
The drive along Great Ocean Road offers so many great surfing spots. We spent an afternoon hitting up Sandy Gully beach before heading before heading to the property to unwind.
Cake And Coffee At Le Comptoir
We pulled in after a surf in Aireys Inlet to grab a bite before heading on to our destination. Such a great spot! We had heard great things about this French deli and restaurant and were not disappointed.
The cakes and baguettes are amazing, made from quality ingredients and so tasty and fresh. The coffee and vibes were on point. We will be heading back for dinner next time we're on the Great Ocean Rd. WOW.

Coffee At The General Store In Wye River
Nestled at the end of the road from the property sits The General Store. Such a great spot to sip on a coffee and take in the stunning mountain and ocean views. We picked up some supplies to take back to the Deck House fro lunch.
Cycling The Great Ocean Road From Aireys To Lorne
You probably wouldn't usually think of taking a coastal cycle at the end of May along Victoria's south coast, but armed with some extra knobbly gravel tires and a high vis jacket I thought I'd give it a go. In a gap between showers, I took a ride towards Lorne from Aireys (approx 20km), a pretty sketchy affair but made easier with the quiet midweek winter traffic. Coming down the winding road and getting glimpses of the ocean between the trees was a pretty special occasion, no wonder they shoot so many car commercials down in these parts. I finished my ride in Lorne with a coffee and damn good toastie from the Lorne Larder while my brother caught up to me in the car, surfboard in tow. I would have definitely kept going if it weren't for the beckoning of a bushwalk and waterfall to check out. Next time I'll attempt with a full crew and head a bit further towards Apollo Bay.
Freshly Brewed Beer At Salt Brewery
Local beers from local brewer's - you can't go wrong with a laid back, beach vibe pub with fresh taps running from the brewery, we opted for the tasting paddle as we couldn't choose one beer.
