Discover Wildnest Wilderness, an 800-acre retreat just 30 minutes from Bathurst, and features two luxury glamping tents and a cosy tiny house.
Nestled in a picturesque valley surrounded by trees, our glamping tents offer access to scenic trails. Accessible via a 5km unsealed road, this secluded paradise invites nature lovers to disconnect. For the best experience, we recommend arriving in an AWD or 4WD to navigate the rugged country road with ease.
As the sun sets behind the mountains, enjoy cosy evenings by the outdoor fire, perfect for stargazing. With plush bedding and modern amenities, our spacious tents blend comfort with the beauty of the Australian bush.
Surrounded by pure Australian bushland, each tent is thoughtfully positioned to provide privacy and immersion in nature. Here, you’ll experience the perfect blend of rustic charm and modern comfort, all while being enveloped by towering trees and the peaceful sounds of the valley. Wildnest Wilderness offers a luxurious glamping experience where nature takes centre stage, and cosy comfort is always within reach.
Travelling with friends? Book the nearby Fairywren tent for an equally splendid stay, found under “Wildnest Wildnerness - Cockatoo.”

Disconnect to Reconnect
At Wildnest Wilderness, life slows down, inviting you to reconnect with nature in the heart of the Australian bush. Begin your mornings on the private deck with a cup of tea, as the first light fills the valley and native birds sing in the trees. Watch for wildlife grazing nearby, and keep an eye out for wombats and the occasional koala – true symbols of the untamed beauty around you.
There's much to explore with 800 acres of bushland at your doorstep. Take one of the many trails through the property, enjoying fresh air and scenic views at every turn.
For those looking to explore the local area, Turondale and Bathurst offer adventures including:
• Fishing at the local Turon River
• Exploring farmers markets in Bathurst
• Experiencing the excitement of Mount Panorama
• Enjoying a variety of restaurants and cafes in Bathurst
Please note that there is no wifi however phone reception is reasonable. While we encourage a true digital detox, there are power outlets available for charging. To help us keep our eco-footprint low, we kindly ask guests to leave high-powered appliances, like hairdryers, at home.
Relax Under the Stars
As the day winds down, savour the setting sun from your deck with a glass of wine or enjoy the views from your private outdoor bath. Gather around your fire pit with marshmallows, lounge in Adirondack chairs, and marvel at the clear, starlit sky – a truly magical ending to a day spent immersed in nature.
Guest Access
Upon arrival, you’ll journey through a scenic 3.5 km unsealed country road that passes through our neighbour’s property. Conditions can vary depending on the weather.
Please note: you’ll need to open and close gates along the way.
An AWD or 4WD vehicle is strongly recommended to ensure a comfortable and stress-free journey.
After reaching the top of the property, you’ll continue on an additional 1.5 km of unsealed road through the white ghost trees leading to the tents. Please drive carefully, as this is a one-way path, and enjoy the gradual transition into the tranquillity of the bush.
We also ask that your vehicle is fitted with a spare wheel. As with any rural property, unexpected flat tyres can happen, and being prepared will give you peace of mind during your stay. Unfortunately, vehicles without a spare (including some EVs) are not well suited to the road in.
If you’re unsure whether your vehicle is suitable, please don’t hesitate to get in touch, we’re always happy to chat and help you plan a smooth arrival.
We’ll send you the access codes for the property gate and your tent on the morning of your arrival, so everything is ready for a seamless check-in.

Additional Information
As with all homes, we have a few house rules to ensure the comfort of all of our guests:
NO WIFI and LIMITED PHONE RECEPTION: Perfect for a digital detox! While you will get coverage in most spots, we encourage you to embrace the opportunity to disconnect.
NO PETS - As much as we love our furry friends, we are not able to offer pet friendly stays as neither of the properties are suitably fenced to ensure your dog/s do not get out. For the protection of your loved animals, and ours on the property, both the native and stock we do ask you to leave your pets at home during your trip.
CHILDREN - In order to provide guests with the quiet retreat they seek, Wildnest can only accept children over the age of 16.
NO SMOKING - Wildnest is a non-smoking property.
CAR PARKING - We have dedicated car spaces at the back of each tent for easy access. Please park in the space provided to reduce the impact on the natural surrounds.
RUBBISH - Remember to take your rubbish with you when you leave, as we don’t have regular bin collections in this rural area. Your cooperation goes a long way toward preserving Wildnest and its surroundings' natural beauty. A cleaning fee may apply if the accommodation is not left in accordance with the checkout instructions or if rubbish is left behind.

Corporate Events Manager turn Charity CEO now creating experiences to share my love of Central West NSW and help people disconnect to connect. I love nothing more than sitting back on our Capertee property with a glass of wine to watch the sun set across the escarpment. Now it's time to share this with those who are looking for the same moments of joy.

Ride through the mountain ranges with nearby horse riding tour providers. Trailing through crystal clear creeks, you will fall in love with our pristine valley.
Golden Gully Walking Track
Golden Gully Walking Track is located just out of the Hills End township. A leisurely 30-minute stroll ideal for all ages and capabilities. The track leads into a deep gully, where you will be walking within eroding mine shafts, the main attraction being 'The Arch' evidence of one of the once thriving gold mine structures. Relax in the shade of a nearby creek to enjoy a picnic lunch.

Picking up some high-quality local produce on the way through Bathurst is essential to making the most of your trip.
Visit The Bathurst Regional Art Gallery
Being such an enthusiast for art, and the way that an individual's story and passion is patiently curated into their work - had me visiting the Bathurst Regional Art Gallery, in the heart of town. It's worth mentioning that the art gallery has had a fairly new and impressive upgrade through renovations and is definitely worth adding to the list.
Hiking Bird Watching
The Turon and Capertee Valleys' have always been famous for amazing birdlife. Aside from the Wedge-Tail Eagles soaring along Eagle Hawk Drive on the eastern side of the valley, the large assortment of birds never fails to impress. Springtime (September to November) is the best in terms of numbers, a good assortment is prevalent all year round. Enjoy from your balcony or go for a hike.

Forest Walks
There are plenty of walks surrounding the cabin. Enjoy the beautiful nature and say hello to the kangaroos living in the area.
