Additional Information

Boomerang Beach is part of Pacific Palms located between the coast and the Great Lakes which is on Worimi country. Pacific Palms adjoins Booti Booti National Park. Booti Booti means ‘plenty of honey’ in the Gathang language of the Worimi People.

The Great Lakes area is full of nature based activities. The obvious activities are surfing and swimming at one of the best surf beaches in NSW. Or a gentler family beach next door at Elizabeth Beach which is patrolled by the local surf rescue. If you want to be really free, head over the hill to Shelley Beach which is a secluded beach where clothing is optional.

If you are new to surfing or want to increase your confidence you can take surfing lessons with Gary Hughes Surf School located at Blueys Beach shops.

There are also lots of other adventures you can have:
- Canoing, kayaking, sailing or stand-up paddleboarding at Wallis Lake or Smiths Lake.
- Rent a boat at Forster and explore the estuary and the lakes - oyster farming, dolphins, pelican-breeding island, sea eagles.
- Book a whale and dolphin watching cruise.
- Go fishing, lake or sea take your pick.
- Take the Booti Walking Track over the bluff between Elizabeth Beach and Seven Mile Beach and walk back along the shores of Wallis Lake.
- Sugarloaf Point Light House at Seal Rocks is a great walk through the bush, you may see dingos and you'll definitely get an incredible view of the coast. And 3 different beaches to choose from.
- Slide down the giant sand dune at One Mile Beach.
- Play golf at Sandbar.

Our stay was beautiful, with the house just a short walk to a great beach and some amazing surfing. The house is fully stocked with everything you need and has a great sound system, perfect for a few drinks and dinner.

I love introducing people to this special part of the world. I have spent the last 3 years on this building project Depot@Boomerang, and I am so proud of its passive solar design and unique features. This spot is very special to me as my father has been coming to this area since the 1950s and bringing me up here since I was young. Our family spent all our holidays here so lots of special memories. I love all the beaches and lakes and the surrounding nature.

Hiking Blueys Headland

This hike is right down the road from the house! We left the shack and within 5 minutes we were at the foot of the headland at the southern end of the beach. There is a path leading from the beach and up through a cow paddock which takes you right to the top of the hill. It has an incredible outlook over Bluey's and Smiths Lake! The walk up is steep and seemingly goes forever but so worth it.
