We loved the cosy and peaceful atmosphere, surrounded by nature and beautiful views. The campfire, farm animals, outdoor tub, and projector screen made the stay extra special.
Most of all, we loved be...ing able to share this experience with our furkids. It was the perfect way to celebrate our dog's birthday—simply enjoying quality time together. A truly memorable getaway.

I had such a wonderful, restful stay at this tiny home. It’s the perfect place to truly slow down and switch off from everyday life.
I stayed with my dog and we both loved it — the space feels peacef...ul, private and incredibly well thought out. The fire pit in the evenings, cooking on the barbecue, watching the stars, and soaking in the outdoor bath made it feel like a little reset for the soul.
The home has everything you need, and nothing you don’t. Time seems to move differently here — slower, calmer, and more intentional. I left feeling completely recharged and would absolutely come back again.
Darcy is a wonderful host!

The location was peaceful and beautiful, with gorgeous sunsets each evening. However, there were people hunting nearby at night, so you could occasionally hear rifles going off while they were hunting... deer.
The projector was a lovely touch for the evenings, although unfortunately there’s not a lot of reception so maybe pre download your movies to your phone. the cord did not work properly and we had to hold the phone in a certain position to keep it connected.
The bed was comfortable being a double, the kitchen had all the basic things and the water was HOT! Thank god.
When we arrived we had a bottle of red and some fresh bread. The fire was all set up for us that we enjoyed the next morning.

Tavern Est 1884
Stopped off for a lunchtime meal at the beautiful Tatong Tavern, established in 1884. My meal was delish and I certainly didn't need another for the rest of the day! Lots of history inside the pub to explore with a beer garden too.
Tatong Pub
A traditional country pub!
A Mazing Discovery
A traditional hedge maze and garden walk to discover! Real Alice in Wonderland vibes. Great spot for a picnic or pop in for a scone and coffee at the cafe.
Bushwalking
Explore this State Park by foot and enjoy the spectacular vistas, abundant native birds and wildlife and colourful wildflower displays. Choose from short walks through to full day and even overnight hikes.
Swim And Wonder At Lake Nilahcootie
I stopped for a swim and walk around the sandy edges of Lake Nillahcootie.
The Boat ramp area had heaps of easy access points for swimming and driving my van up close to the waters edge. Also there's toilets nearby and also Nilahcootie Beach was a great hang spot if you get there early to beat everyone to the good spots!
