Welcome to Spring Spur: a 100-acre working horse farm nestled in the beautiful Kiewa Valley. Our family has lived here for over 30 years and it's our passion to bring people together to share meals at our famous long-table, share stories around our campfire, and share the adventure of a lifetime riding our mountain horses across the spectacular High Plains.

Additional Information

Spring Spur has six individual guest rooms situated on the farm, with beautiful views of Mount Feathertop and the Kiewa Valley. Our guest rooms are designed to give you space and privacy to relax.

Guests will have access to the Riders Lounge, a communal space to enjoy a chat over a cuppa at breakfast or flick through the vintage record collection with a glass of Spring Spur wine in the evening.

Each guest rooms has a private bathroom and its own patio area, surrounded by native gardens, majestic horses, and vistas of the surrounding mountains.

Rooms can be configured as either a King, Twin or Triple share. Please just let us know your requirements at the time of booking.

Breakfast is included in the tariff, with option to join a long table dinner. Please enquire about availability and let us know any dietary requirements in advance.

Amazing location and the experience was so great for my son and I. We were embedded in the daily life there, and the open arms we were greeted with - including their kids - made it such an amazing weekend. We could not recommend it more.

My wife and I stayed here for two nights and could not recommend this place more. The property is huge and surrounded by gorgeous mountain scenery that you can step out to right from your room. The Ri...ders Lounge is warm, cosy, and welcoming, with an indoor fire place and a huge selection of records to play from. Steve hosted us along with Alex and Emily who took us on a beautiful afternoon horse trail ride. The food was delicious and the coffee would have been at home at a 5 star bakery.

We will certainly be back sometime. Thanks for having us.

We had such a wonderful weekend away at Spring Spur, exactly what the doctor ordered - an unplugged country escape with views to die for! The breakfast was perfect, the vibes were immaculate and the service was top tier. We’ll be back for sure.

Mount Beauty Gorge Walk

This one’s a must. Just a 10-minute drive from the farm, the walk requires minimum effort for maximum return - beautiful landscapes and crystal-clear water. An idyllic cool-down swim after a day of horseriding.

Indulging In Bright

We went home to Melbourne via Bright, eating and drinking our way through the town. We had an awesome lunch at the super cool Tomohawk, followed by a gin tasting flight at Reed & Co Distillery. Stumbling across the sprawling sunflower fields in Ovens was the perfect end to the trip.
